[ The video feed opens with a shot of a new bar menu displayed prominently above the bar with the drink specials of the month before panning out to show the bar itself.

A moment later, it turns around to feature Simon in the shot, the Brit grinning in his typical friendly manner. ]

Alright, so with all the new arrivals we've been getting recently combined with the rather emotionally-exhausting magic tricks we've gotten to experience over the past few days, I thought it was time to remind people - or let them know in the first place - that if you're looking for a little distraction or socialization, the bar's on the fifth floor. Myself and Jo and Cami are your bartenders and one of us is usually hanging around the place, but if not, you're welcome to help yourself.

And yeah, the theme of the month might be a little tongue-in-cheek. But. [ He shrugs here, looking mostly unconcerned about it, roguish smile still lingering. ] We're all a little mad here by now, right? Might as well enjoy what we can.

[ And with that, he cuts the feed for the time being. Simon will be hanging out at the bar for the afternoon, visiting with anyone who wanders in or carrying on conversations to people who reply over the devices instead. He's feeling sociable either way. ]

[John, of course, is one to consume alcohol rather than discuss it. That's not why he's in here before 5 today, though. That goddamn shrink got under his skin whether he likes it or not, and he needs a little help dislodging the discomfort. He'd have Mary do it, but he's been cling wrapped to her enough, he's worried she could get annoyed.

He sidles up to the bar sometime after lunch, looking a little sour. Sourer than usual, at least. ]

What the hell's in these anyway?

[ Simon's reply is sly as he shifts to lean atop the bar and flash John a smirk. ]

Lots and lots of alcohol. Surprise.

[Jo is also spending her afternoon in the bar, in much better spirits than she'd been the previous week, and she hops up onto the counter itself with a copy of the menu in hand, crossing her legs as she looks it over.]

Nice work. So what's in a Fruminous Bandersnatch, again?

[She knows he has them written down somewhere for reference, but she hasn't had a chance to look them over thoroughly since coming in-- it's been a busy day so far, and she'd spent the better part of her morning training with Faith.]

[ Simon smirks and leans on the bar to watch her. And totally doesn't look like a lovesick idiot while doing so. ]

[ She wastes no time bopping over to the bar and sliding right on up. Guess who's doing her best to keep a straight face because this is a very important question. One that's already been solved in the coffee shop. ]

[ Clint slides into a seat at the bar shorting a grin at Simon. He'd been by the bar before a few times but hadn't had a chance to talk to any of the bartenders. He spent a lot of time observing and getting a feel for his surroundings, but Simon's video caught his attention.]

[ He might be purposefully missing the point here as he props his arms on the bar and smirks at the man. ]

[Seeing as she lives on this floor, it's hardly shocking that Rose has found the bar and because she's still so new, even less shocking that she spends more time here than anywhere else. Even if she's not much of a drinker.

Today she likely slips in while Simon makes his announcement and snatches up one of those menus to look over until he's free to talk.]

Simon blinks at her for a moment, confused. he can get not reading the book maybe, but every kid grows up with Disney. Right? ]

[Michonne just makes her way to the bar, always good for an afternoon cocktail because why the hell not? When she gets there, she sits right in front of him and tilts her head to the side.]

You don't have a drink named after me yet?

[She's only teasing, mostly, and orders a beer for now, not needing anything heavy for once.]

[ He's teasing, Michonne. ]

But if you think I won't name one after you, you're wrong. What should we call it? The Samurai? Doom by Dreads? Personally, calling it 'Michonne' might be impressive enough but that might be a little weird.

What's in a Red Queen?

A few things. She's got a bit of a kick to her, little bit of a spice. White Queen is smoother, cooler. Figured the Red should counter.

[She almost responds by video a handful of times before sighing and surrendering to text. Baby steps, and even if she doesn't trust herself with the sheer wrongness of a hey there buddy call, texts are safe. Texts are manageable.]

Any plans to man the bar in costume?

[For obvious reasons, Dipper doesn't come around the bar very often. But he can't help but notice that drink menu. And... be curious.]

Is it usual for drink names to not give any hint at all what's in them?

[ Simon doesn't look like he minds the question, settling in to lean against the bar as he opens a return feed. ]

Every now and again. Most people aren't familiar with how alcohol goes together to interpret an ingredient list anyway. I usually get "something with rum" or "something fruity" or "chocolate" anyway. Then again, most people can't list off what's in popular drinks anyway. Daiquiris, margaritas, Tom Collins, Shirley Temples. Seven and Seven, Screwdrivers. Sex on the Beach. Most people know it by its name and whether they like it or not and go from there.
