TIME FOR A YACHT PARTY, HOW FUN (video + action)

( this is far from his first "event" in Wonderland, but somehow that doesn't make it any easier. he's seen a lot of demented creatures in his lifetime, that simply happens when you're as old as he is. he's not interested in sticking around to let them gnaw on him, and he's got a very good escape route to get away from the madness. )

Listen. I don't know what these things are, but I'm willing to bet they can't swim. If you can get to the docks, we're taking off in under an hour.

( he doesn't know most of the people trapped here, but he's not heartless. his ship could get rather cramped, but when it's life or death on the line, he'll take anyone who wants the shelter. )

If you damage my ship you'll be fixing it yourself. Worry less about what you're bringing and more about getting here safely.

( that's it, that's the message; he probably won't talk too much to anyone that responds, other than to answer questions. )

When the man says an hour, he really means it. As soon as everyone pertinent is aboard, including some individuals he wasn't exactly expecting (a friend of the people he cared about was good enough to grant passage), the ship sets sail. It's easier to get The Jolly Roger moving when there's more than just one person running about her decks. Don't know how to sail? Well, get ready for a crash course lesson, because all hands on deck.

After that, it's more or less a waiting game. There's a barrier to protect the ship and after that, it's up to the people aboard to keep themselves entertained. There's more food than one would expect, between the pirate and the stores people brought along. One can expect to eat, though perhaps not eat well. When it's survival on the line, though, do you have any room to complain?

There's not a great deal to keep one entertained, though. There are hammocks to sleep in in the crew quarters, a deck to walk and places to explore. The captain's quarters are very much so off limits and if he finds you there he'll be displeased. There are a few games, trinkets, things here or there. Maybe you can get some lessons in sailing or swordsmanship while you're aboard... Make the most of it, because it's hard telling how long you'll be stuck on the steadily rocking decks.

[Chloe sees Killian's video message and suddenly becomes hopeful. Sure, Simon is on the way to pick her and Max up. But really, after that, where do they go? The mansion is crawling with these things. Their best chance of survival could actually be on a boat away from this place.

So Chloe prepares to reply to Killian. She knows she wasn't exactly super nice to him the last time they corresponded but she did thank him for his help, something she's rarely done in this place so she's hoping that Killian will still be willing to help her out again.]

Hey Killian. Chloe here.

[The girl who went batshit crazy over the mention of "magic" but whatever. Moving on.]

My best friend and I are trapped somewhere in the first floor. Someone's picking us up I think but after that, there's no where else to go. Can we crash at your place first?

( well, it might make her feel better to know he doesn't mind much when people aren't super nice to him. that's pretty much his whole life, he's used to it by now.

he's glad to see she's well, even though they only talked a little; and he's glad to hear her friend is still well, too. he guesses it's the same that was injured before. )

Yes, there's room enough for you both. You just have to hurry, the sooner we're out of here the better.

You've got a boat? Here? [Honestly Jowan is a little surprised that the man is even here in the first place if he's always had an option to just up and leave, but he's not really going to question it if there's an offer of an escape from everything that's going on.]

Whereabouts is the dock?

Aye. ( it's not as easy as picking up and sailing away and she's a ship, not a boat, but whatever semantics and it's not important right now. )

They're on the beach, past the gardens. I don't know how many of those things are on the grounds but if you're coming I suggest you come quickly.

Michonne's seen too much, knows too much about how these things go to relax. The ship is...well just that, a damn ship, so it's not like anything that floats might be able to capsize them. But still she's tense and alert, katana on her back as she stands silent century at the bow of the boat. She'll help anyone who might need it, she has a duffle bag full of supplies from first aid to water, and she cares.

She cares a lot about the people she left back on land, too. Simon and Jo in particular. But, there's a reason she moved to the eighth floor, a promise she made Regina a while ago, so here she is. Getting familiar with the Jolly Roger and looking out for anything that could possibly happen, watching to see if anyone shows signs of being infected.

[Dipper's been on this ship before, but not when the actual pirate who owned it was present. It was a lot more fun the first time.

Zombies. Dipper really, really hates zombies. Whether they're actually a bunch of gnomes trying to marry his sister or all his fault because he had to prove a point and his point happened to raise the dead or biting him and forcing his great uncle to kill him all because Dipper had to be stupid and cocky enough to think he could get away with not getting bit... they never lead to anything good. Now he's hiding out, and part of him feels like a coward for not going out there and trying to help people. The other part of him is sure that he wouldn't be able to help anyway. He'd just die again, and he promised Mabel he wouldn't do that. He doesn't have enough deaths left that he can be that reckless.

So he sits on deck, arms curled around his legs, and tries to read. People might notice that he's not making very much progress in his book, though. His mind's too busy worrying about everyone not on the boat.]

[Somewhere in here, doing her best to just not deal with the rest of you is a very annoyed Zelena. Actually, annoyed isn't the right word for it, she's pretty furious. Not at most of the people on the boat, she doesn't really care about most of you, but mostly at her sister. Not surprising, right? Because she could totally have put up her own barrier and taken care of herself, but nooooo, someone had to doubt her ability to weather a fungus zombie apocalypse in Wonderland and bring her here.

So she'll be off to the side somewhere, grumbling about everything. She's not really interested in conversation, but you know what? It passes the time, so she'll put up with it. She'll even play nice and not set everyone on fire or turn everyone into monkeys even though it'd probably improve her mood. Not because she doesn't want to, but because that doesn't sound like an ideal way to spend the event.]

[Chloe, Max, and this new guy they don't really know called Simon, are on the way to the ship. They met outside the mansion and Chloe suggested that they lay low at Killian's ship for a while. Both Simon and Max agreed so now Chloe makes sure to send a text to Killian, letting him now that they're on the way.

Hopefully she doesn't trip since she's texting while walking.]

( chloe and her company are not the only ones crashing at casa de pirate, so safe to say he's waiting on a few people.

and he hopes they hurry, because the longer they're stranded the worse the chances are that nothing nefarious finds its way to the docks. )

( Zelena isn't the only one that isn't particularly pleased that Zelena is on his ship. trust that the pirate is pretty displeased about it, too. he doesn't totally get this weird sister act thing Regina has with the wicked witch that has only been a progressively larger pain in everyone's side since they met her.

just know, Zelena, that he'd have left you to get eaten alive quite happily.

he's on the way to do something else — because he's not the sort to just stand around looking annoyed, thank you — but of course on his way he decides to do his best to make a nuisance of himself. )

You know, I'd ask if you weren't feeling well, but I've come to realize that's simply what your face looks like.

( because, apparently, Hook is just dying to test how far her not turning people to monkeys restraint goes. )

He hasn't seen fungus zombies before but thanks to the Queen of Hearts he's aware of what shambling more or less undead masses look like. He's glad, as he was then, that he can so easily remove himself from the carnage. Just because he's capable of killing, wears reminders for almost every life he's taken, doesn't mean he would enjoy taking any more.

Some of the visitors on the ship are people he's never met before, some just opportunistic souls trying to get away from danger. This one, though, he's not sure of her connection but he knows she lived on the same floor as everyone from Storybrooke, back when he stayed in the mansion. They've yet to speak but since there's so little to distract, why not change that? His curiosity has gotten the better of him.

"So who are you, exactly?" She watches over the water and he leans against the rail, arms crossed. A bit of a blunt question, perhaps, but hey, he doesn't see why he has to be evasive about it.

[Chloe grimaces in the darkness. Why don't you try creeping quietly outside, making sure not to wake up some dead, old infected body? But Chloe's thankful that Killian is letting them stay on his ship so she doesn't reply back. Plus she doesn't want to risk attracting attention.

Chloe sighs. The things a zombie apocalypse can make me do. When this is all over, she's gonna enjoy messing with everyone in this place, including Killian.]

She knew him before he left, but she knows this place, knows it for some reason hates memories (or really enjoys screwing people over with them) and she turns to him.

"I'm Michonne. I knew you, before. A little. Nice to see you back again. Even under terrible fucking circumstances. And thanks. For this." For the ship, for giving so many people a chance.

[Henry had to be saved by Regina, who lit an entire floor of the mansion on fire to get close enough to poof them both out of there. He's not feeling great about himself right now, or how much magic he's learned, because in the face of real danger he freaked out and couldn't get it to work. So, they've established he's useless. He honestly doesn't know what the point is; if he can't keep himself safe, then what chance does he have keeping anyone else safe?

Still, he sends messages before the ship is set to sail to Dipper and Mabel, letting them know it's safe on the ship of they want to come, then goes to sit on the deck, frowning deeply and very lost in thought.]

[Every now and then (too often, probably) Henry feels like he should at least give Zelena a chance. He's not even sure why, other than she could be attempting to kill them all a lot more than she actually does, so that has to count for something, right?

He has some bottled water and protein bars (the kind that actually taste pretty decent), and as he contemplates what he has, and how no one's even bothering to deal with her, he makes his way over, holding out the water and glorified candy bar.]

Zelena. Thought you might want something.

[Well, now she's progressed from standing around looking annoyed to standing around looking annoyed at him, so that's an improvement, right?]

Witty as ever, I see. With such pleasant company, how could anyone ever want to leave?

[Look, she's not entirely unconvinced she wouldn't get a better conversation out of the things roaming Wonderland at the moment.]

[There's something that sounds and looks an awful lot like her scoffing at the very idea. Like the very idea of anyone here having anything she wants is so completely far fetched she wants to laugh. But she still takes it anyway.]

Nice to see someone around here has some idea of hospitality. Though I hope you're not expecting a thank you.

[She figures he isn't, but being Zelena and all, she sort of has to say things like that.]

After all, I can take care of myself.

I'm perfectly wonderful company. I'm not sure you'd know what that is, have you ever had it?

( probably not. she hangs out with monkeys in Oz, and collects brains and hearts and other such nonsense. not winning any awards for warmth and friendliness that way. )

If the company is so poor I certainly won't stop you from swimming to shore. Enjoy the mindless mold monsters, seems like your sort of people.

She's not the first to claim she knew him from before, and it makes the pirate fall silent for a moment to consider that. It's very strange to have people remember you when you don't remember them. A part of Wonderland, maybe, but a frustrating one.

"Michonne, then." It's true, he doesn't remember, and she likely knows that. Still, if she's willing to start over he's not sure why he wouldn't be. She seems to have grown close to people that (sometimes begrudgingly) matter to him. As for the ship, he shrugs slightly as if it doesn't mean that much. He may not be known for welcoming strangers onto his ship but it also wouldn't be the first time he's granted people amnesty aboard her decks, either. "It seems safer than the mansion. Of all the nonsense I've seen since I arrived here, this is the worst of it."

The monsters he'd barely come into contact with were rather terrifying, and that's from a man of many centuries and plenty of experience.

If that's my type, then I suppose speaking with the rest of you must've given me the same interest in dull unintelligent conversation that you all seem to share.

[Yeah, take that Hook and presumably everyone else on the boat. If she somehow manages to last the whole event without being made to walk the plank, it'll be some sort of miracle. Actually, hold that thought.]

And believe me, if someone's going overboard, it's hardly going to be me.

[The rest of you though...well, that might be another story entirely.]

[So an entire floor of the mansion might've ended up in flames because those things managed to corner Henry. Right now, Regina would be more than happy to let the entire thing burn because they know it'll come back, but then people would complain about burning to death and really, it's more trouble than it's worth.

But once Henry and safe and they're tucked away in her room where those things can't get to them, she peruses the network to find out what's going on and well, the mansion isn't going to be safe much longer.

Which leaves one option.

With Henry in tow, she poofs them both to the deck of the Jolly Roger.]

Hook! Get out here. Now.

[Getting Zelena onboard had been the easy part, comparatively. Keeping everyone from killing her or getting killed or turned into monkeys is the hard part. She'd played nice and helped with the barrier at least, but would it kill her to not actively antagonise every single person she spoke with?

...Probably.]

You could look a little more grateful about someone being invested in keeping your baby safe.

[She's aware how hard it is for Henry, but it's not like she can happily let him run off into danger and play the hero. His family might be some of the greatest heroes ever, but he's still her son. Keeping him safe is always going to be her number one priority.

She joins him on the deck, sitting down with him and staying silent because right now, he looks like he needs it.]
