After a conversation a short while ago, I find myself wondering if anyone has ever made any attempt to organise a group of people willing to teach other capable individuals their combat skills.

[He had thought about simply doing it himself - he knows he can, but he will get nowhere by stepping on toes.]

If they haven't, then I'd like to begin. It won't be something suitable for everyone, but it should be available to everyone, should they want and be able to engage in it.

I confess I've done little tutoring, I can only hope to have the patience.

[Being mostly self-taught, he understands the frustrations of learning. His patience should stretch further than it normally might when it comes to teaching someone how to correctly use a bow.]

Ah, well... if you had told that to my tutors, they would have laughed at you.

[He sounds shocked - appalled, even - but it's forced in a way that ticks one corner of his mouth up into a smile.]

I believe you must be thinking of someone else.
