Race #1 (Voice) | During the flooding

[There's sound coming through, but it's breathing sounds. Very, very relieved-sounding breathing sounds. And then, a few seconds later, a child's voice pipes up.]

Gotta question. Other than th' obvious "What is this place?", why is it floodin' in this place?

[She'd appeared right in the hallway, underwater, and in a panic managed to find herself in an empty bedroom.]

An' where is everyone? What kinda game is this?

[It may not seem obvious at first, but she doesn't even realize she's got the device on, in her panic. She's merely talking to herself.]

[Do they have rabbits on her world? A lot on his tended to be hostile, so he can understand her confusion.]

Someone got 'em from the closets. Called out too many an' started givin' them away as pets. [Talking. Talking's helping to keep him sane.] Her name's marshmallow. Tryin' to keep her alive. Heh.

[This isn't funny. Nothing about this is funny.]

What, did a magician try t'call rabbits fer pets fer magic tricks or somethin'? ... 'Least they all got homes, though. That's good t'hear.

[Not that she particularly cared about animals or animals becoming pets. But nobody deserves to be alone.]

I can come visit now, if ya want. If it would help. [She could get supplies. Get food. This event seems cruel, to trap everyone in their rooms unless they didn't need to breathe or were good swimmers. That didn't seem fair.]

[He never did ask the story behind that, did he? How she had gotten so many rabbits out of the closet. Might've phrased the request wrong, or maybe the closets are sentient sometimes. Hard to tell with Wonderland.

It's nicer to distract himself with these thoughts, though. Rather than the impending doom or either suffocating in the rooms or drowning.]

Wouldn't be surprised.

[Talking helps. Talking distracts him. Keeps him focused.]

I... uh. I wouldn't risk trying to get through these halls right now. Unless you're a good swimmer. Or don't need to breathe. M'on the seventh floor.
