4th Social Link ▫ [Video + Action]

[It's not every day one wakes up and is suddenly inside another body. Or more like Minato was inside a smaller, younger version of his body. He looked like this when he was six years old. It's definitely an event as was announced over the network. But no problem.

There was something on a wall though like a puzzle? But he had to look up, up, and up at it, squinting through the fog. The puzzle was way too high up and no matter how much he tried to jump to reach it, it was not getting any closer.

He had to find something to climb up on. A rolling office chair it was then! That served four purposes:
1) He could move it around easily and adjust the seat up and down to get to places too high to reach
2) He could hide behind it if need be
3) It could be his getaway vehicle if he needed to escape from those monsters
4) The video from the comm device hanging from it would capture where he might be within the foggy laboratory

Thus here's a tiny Minato slowly making his own way through the fog with his trusty rolling chair until he bumps into someone... Is that someone you?]

Oh, sorry... I didn't mean it... Um, are you hurt?

[Pushing a chair with limited visibility is hard and he is profusely sorry for bumping into you! Please feel free to help him reach the puzzle? Or run into him during his travels?]

[Ouch. The impact knocks Souji over. Being small kind of sucks. Souji's so used to being taller than most people he knows and being in a four year old body is kind of ruining that.

He does like the fog, though.

He's relieved when it's Minato's voice he hears from the other side of the chair.]

I'm okay.

[He gets to his feet and steps around the chair and spots Minato.]

....You're taller than me.

[Minato blinked over at Souji. Souji was... different. Well, just physically, anyway.]

You're so little.

[Minato hadn't expected that. He thought Souji would always be taller than him. (Then again, they did live in Wonderland.) He moved his chair a bit to have it be relatively in front of them in case anything or anyone happened to be passing by.]

I'll protect you.

[Souji looked down at himself. This was going to be frustrating, he could tell.]

...Please take care of me.

[If he were his normal age and height, it wouldn't be so obvious that he's sulking a bit.

He shakes it off pretty quickly though and he points ahead into the fog.]

Are you trying to finish that puzzle over there?

[Souji sulking was cute, but there wasn't any time to think about that for long. He nodded.]

It's too high.

[Hence the chair? He scooted off to one side of it to have Souji help push it over there.]

[Souji moves over to help.]

It might roll when you stand on it. [...] I'll hold it still for you.

But you're smaller.

[Minato should hold it while Souji climbed up on it. He wasn't sure if Souji could handle the chair and Minato's weight too.]

[Souji made a face but nodded. When they reached their destination, he helped Minato position the chair before climbing up onto it. He had to pause on his knees on the seat, gaining his balance, before he used the back of the chair to get to his feet.]

[Minato was holding on tight to the chair handle and the back of the chair too to keep the chair from rolling away or rotating while Souji was on it.]

Can you reach it?

[Souji nodded, although Minato might not be able to see him. ...The puzzle looked a bit tricky and he wished Minato were up here to help him.]

It might take a little while.

[One of the things Sayaka did not expect was to be run into with a rolling chair. The collision causes her to land on her butt and she's more surprised than scared by the sudden impact.]

O-Ouch...

[She rubs her head, but when she looks up to see Minato, she instantly felt relieved and relaxed to see him.]

Minato-kun! I'm okay, don't worry. You didn't hit me too hard! [pause.] You shrunk as well.

[Minato immediately pulled his chair back and went over to help her up.]

I'm sorry. I did. Are you really okay?

[He still worried though since it was an event and he really did run into her with that chair.]

[When he approaches her, she sends a reassuring smile his direction and takes his hand to help herself stand up.]

Yeah, don't worry. I may not look like it, but I'm pretty resilient!

[Well, minus the fact she went back to the age where she didn't have her idol training, but she in her mind; this was just a scratch!]

Are you okay? And why... do you have a rolling chair?

[She was still so cheerful despite circumstances. He knew that that was what helped her be so resilient too. It certainly helped him in this moment too. He helped her up onto her feet.]

I'm okay too. I can't reach a puzzle though on a wall. It's high up.

[Way too high for him to reach without any help. Pulling over a table or a more solid chair was too hard and heavy for him when he was so little.]

Ah! That's such a brilliant idea!!

[She was very impressed with Minato's quick thinking. It would get tiring having to constantly find a chair to reach high spots.]

You are so smart Minato-kun. [She giggles.] Do you need help in reaching that puzzle? Even though we are small, the two of us can make a decent sized person?

Thanks. If you climb up on the chair, then I can hold onto it?

[That way he wouldn't have to worry about her holding onto the chair since he thought he was heavier than her. He couldn't make her hold him, that would be terrible.]

Yes! I'll be more than happy to do that. We'll make a great team, Minato-kun!

[Minato was so smart and it made her relieved to have someone like him around. Together, she was sure that they would be able to prevail through whatever else this lab had to throw at them.]

Where did you find the puzzle?

[Minato nodded, smiling a little since having her around too was a relief. He could see that she was safe, and her cheerfulness lit everything up while they were in the dim and foggy laboratory.]

It's on a wall on the other side. The colors of it are bright.

[He thought she might like it then for how colorful it was. He led the way over to it, pointing it out and showing her just how out of reach it was for them since they were so small.]

Does it look hard to put together?

[Ishimaru gives a small 'oof' as he's bumped into, but he quickly laughs it off as he notices the adorable and familiar-looking child behind the chair.]

Ahahaha! There is nothing to worry about, young sir. I am unharmed! However, you could stand to be more diligent in watching where you are walking in the future! Additionally, what is the purpose of this chair?

[Whoa. Minato looked up and up again, seeing someone familiar too. He nodded and had to be careful with the chair.]

I can't reach a puzzle. It's too high.

[But Ishimaru was tall! Maybe he could help?]

[He nods and salutes the child.]

I see! It all becomes clear now. It fills my heart with pride to see today's youth taking an interest in puzzles! I will help you move the chair over, and I would also like to help you with that puzzle. It is the least that I can do as part of the older generation!

[Minato nodded and was pretty relieved that Ishimaru was going to help.]

Thank you. When you do the puzzle, can I see too?

[However that was going to work. Maybe he could stand on the chair and watch and help.]

Of course you can! The two of us will solve this through the force of teamwork, young man! Now, wold you please lead me to the puzzle in question?

[Minato nodded again and then tugged on the hem of Ishimaru's shirt.]

It's me, Ishimaru-san. Minato.

[But yes, he would go with him to that puzzle.]

[He blinks as he stops to get a better look at him. The resemblance truly is uncanny... just like Sayaka!]

A-Arisato-kun?! Have... have you, too, become a child?!

Just my body. I have all my memories of being my normal age.

[Which is then admittedly kind of weird.]
