[Early in the morning, the network will be greeted by the video feed of an intense young man in a school uniform. He maintains that intensity as he begins his declarations.]

Good morning, people of wonderland! This is Kiyotaka Ishimaru. If we have not met before, I am a student from Hope's Peak Academy, where I am known as the Super High School Level Public Morals Committee Member! We have endured quite some events lately, haven't we? They have resulted in several delays of this message, but I will not wait any longer and risk becoming a procrastinator! I am addressing you all today to make a few announcements, so listen up!

There are two proposals I would like to put forth. The first is to set up an arrangement that I organized the last time that I was trapped somewhere. Every morning, anyone who so wishes is free to join me in the dining hall for breakfast! There, we can swap information to keep ourselves updated about the mysteries of this place while we prepare for the day!

Secondly, who's up for some serious studying?! I have noticed that there is no formal education system in place in this world, and this is a crying shame! However, in the absence of a school, it is important that we keep our minds sharp. This is no excuse to slack off! So, I think that it is also important to organize study groups. We can meet up in the library regularly and coordinate our studies of the the wealth of knowledge contained there! There may be some language barriers to deal with, as I have noticed that the books in the library do not translate like our spoken words do. However, I am sure that we will be able to work around that! This will also be a valuable opportunity for me to work more on my studies of English, so I welcome the challenge!

[With that, he smiles and practically chuckles.]

It's not a bad idea. I should see if my senpai wants to come. He's been here a long time-- he'd probably have some good info to share. We're talkin' years.

Whole years?! [It's hard to imagine spending that long trapped away from home and from school. ...But that still does sound like a welcome alternative to suffering in the killing game.]

May I ask who this senpai of yours is? He sounds like a very important person!

Yeah, at least five of 'em.

[If not longer-- Kanji might have lost track. He nods, however, confirming Ishimaru's suspicions.]

I mean, I think he's pretty important. Souji-senpai runs the diner up on the eighth floor.

Souji... ah, Souji-kun! [He chimes with recognition.]

I know who you speak of! He also helped me when I first arrived here, and I have eaten at that diner from time to time! He certainly has seemed to be very knowledgeable...

Smartest guy I know!

[Kanji practically beams with pride, on that note. Souji is his go-to for everything, Wonderland-related or otherwise.]

He's a veteran here. Knows all kinds of stuff we wouldn't.

I do not doubt it! Whatever input he has must be truly invaluable!

Tatsumi-kun, I thank you for bringing such interesting information to the table, and when we are not even seated at a table yet!

It's nothin'. I mean, haven't really told you anything useful yet, but here's hopin'.

[Although, that does remind him of a recent talk he'd had with Alphys.]

Spend much time in the library yet? A friend and I were talkin' about seeing if someone might've kept records of past events. Even if they haven't, there's a lot of useful stuff there, too. The librarian's supposed to be real nice, and she's been here a long time.

[He hasn't quite gotten to it yet, himself. Not really a library kind of guy, but Ishimaru seems like he would be.]

It is still good to know!

[Then he pauses as he considers Kanji's question.]

Hm... I have been regularly visiting the library! I have not noticed any such records, but I now I know to try to look for them! I have no problems with consulting with the librarian should the need arise. I am prepared to do whatever I can in my pursuit of knowledge, Tatsumi-kun!

[So much energy. Just talking to Ishimaru is kind of exhausting.]

Yeah, guess you wouldn't, would you. I mean, you love-- studying.

[He grimaces.]

[Poor Kanji. He tries to sound more light-hearted as he goes on.]

That is correct! If I were given the choice between a brand new music CD and new study material, I would choose my studies every time! You have to work hard to succeed in this world, after all, and that is the area that I choose to apply myself in!

Really? Every time?

[Dude, that is one hell of a commitment.]

Of course!! How would I be a truly dedicated student otherwise?!

[He's the definition of commitment... probably too much so.]

[What the fuck.]

Dude, you're cool and all, but how the hell are you even human?

[He likes you, Ishimaru, but DAMN.]

[He then goes on relatively light-heartedly.]

Ahahaha! I still breathe, eat and sleep like any other human. I think, therefore I am!

But if my dedication to my studies seems unusual, then that is a good thing! I strive be exceptional even among hard workers, after all!

Well, if that's the goal, I'd say you're doing really well. Mission accomplished?

[Seriously, Kanji doesn't think he knows of anyone else who could even attempt to keep up.]

Why thank you! It is an honor to be considered to have completed such a goal already, at my young age. Of course, only someone with lazy bones would stop there. I have to keep on setting new goals to prove myself and to prove my ultimate goal on top of that!

[Kanji's bones are the laziest bones, sorry to tell you.]

So if you've already accomplished that-- I mean, what goals are left?

[Alas. He'll still hope to motivate said bones!]

What goals are left? Now that is a silly question! The amount of goals one can set for one's self are as vast as the world itself! Even in this place, I have goals to widen the horizons of my studies, to try to understand this place better and to try to find the most ideal solution possible for the problem of trying to return home!

And... then of course, there is the one goal that I seek to accomplish above all. To prove once and for all that hard work can truly surpass natural genius!

Can you really measure that kinda thing, though? There's always gonna be someone smarter out there in the world, unless you've got proof that there's nobody smarter than whoever you're competin' against.

[Look, he doesn't doubt you-- if anyone could work hard enough to surpass even the most brilliant minds, it's probably Ishimura. Just check out that energy.]

Well, good luck with it, either way. Hopefully I can help you out some at these breakfast meetings. They gonna have donuts?

N-no, you are right that there is no way to objectively measure my success. But if I can just leave a convincing message, a convincing example of the superior brilliance of hard work to the world... Well, then I may be satisfied with that!

[He's definitely determined to never stop trying!

Ishimaru softens at the mention of the donuts, going into the lighter subject while being reminded of one of his classmates.]

Donuts?! I haven't considered them, but they could easily be made available. After all, it seems easy to obtain many edible food and snacks around here!

If anyone can pull that off, it's probably you.

[He's got a hell of a lot of determination, after all.]

You can get pretty much anything-- sometimes the quality is lousy if you're dealin' with clothes and stuff, but food is usually fine. We don't run into many problems with that up in the diner, luckily. Hell, maybe I could make somethin' there and bring it to one of the meetings-- I'm not as good in the kitchen as senpai is, but I've been workin' on expanding my skillset.

Tatsumi-kun! I feel touched to the center of my heart that you believe in me!

[And then he chuckles at the offer.]

Ahahaha! That would be delightful. You are free to bring whatever you would like. I will gladly help you in your journey of culinary education. Do not worry! Because we are friends, I swear that I will not hold back when it comes to critique!

Right-- good. I was, uh-- afraid of that.
