hey, uh. has anyone seen a cat?

[He rubs the back of his skull.]

not a talking cat or anything. a regular one. black fur, one bent ear. kinda moody. answers to 4, usually.

[He sounds pretty neutral, but he can't quite stifle a quiet sigh.]

lost track of him during the event. we got cornered on the third floor and he, uh. got away from me. he's been through worse events, so i'm not too worried, but he just...usually turns up by now.

[He's quiet for a bit, staring away off camera.]

if anyone's seen him, please let me know.

don't know if a cat and a weasel would get along too well. he did catch a mouse one time, though. [Mice and weasels are...related...maybe? He has no idea.] ...maybe catnip.

Exactly like that, and some of them have been utilized in lessons at Hogwarts. My mum raised them.

Perhaps not use a weasel, but whatever his favorite food is. Food is always a good lure for animals. I use it quite a bit to help me get closer and earn the trust of creatures when I'm studying them.

I am, though from an earlier time than others from the same world I've met here. I'm rather partial to it, I admit.

[More concerned about the cat than people, Newt sees no problem with this plan.]
