Do you know what I'd give to have these devices in the 18th century?

[ It's not a real question, but it's still true. Things could have happened so much more efficiently if word could be sent out in an instant. ]

It's funny you say that because some people complain about them. Not here, but in my world. They think these devices have taken over our lives, they're the doom of society, blah, blah. But really, I think they're awesome. And important. I mean, most of my work is possible because of electronics, so, yeah, I'm a fan.

[ She'll defend electronics with her last breath basically. ]

And yeah, pretty much. Well, in our country at least. Developed countries.

I can promise you there will always be something to make people complain about the previous generation. Believe me, when automobiles became easily accessible by many, the complaints were all about losing the elegance and pedigree of riding on noble horseback.
