Looks like I'm not going anywhere, so — what's the best floor to live on? What's the worst? Don't skimp on details. If I'm going to need a room and I can make it look any way I want, then I've got to start by making sure I'm on the right floor.

Random, mostly. [ lies. she was drawn there, but you don't typically greet new arrivals with, "i'm mysteriously led to places by unseen forces, ask me how!" ] But it's nice. Decent view. Stairs are usually in the right place.

Well, if you don't mind stairs since we don't have elevators or any of that jazz, then anything above the fifth floor is good. If you're more the survival nut type and wanna be able to peace should things catch on fire or if you're just hella lazy, I'd recommend the first two floors.

And other than the mirrors, we're currently cannibal and murderer free in terms of residents... As far as I know, so there aren't really any floors that need a warning label attached. [ /kanye shrug ]

I'm enjoying the seventh floor! I think it depends on what you want to be close to, too. There's a great diner on the eighth, but the first floor has a coffee shop with some amazing cupcakes.

It depends more on how much you hate stairs and what you want to be closest too, honestly. I lived on the first floor for a long time, now I'm on the second, and they've both been fine. Besides, you can pretty much move whenever you want to if you don't like the first place you pick.

( wonderland fucking sucks. and there's always so much time to think and feel like how deeply she feels iris' absence right now. it means she's trying to fill up her days with whatever else she can which means responding to network posts where ordinarily she might not. just read to know whose who and that's it, but now she could really use the distraction. something to fill up the time so the words come out quiet but certain. )

You'll be high up enough in case something bursts down the mansion's front door then you're not the first one hit, but far enough down, you can still get out of the mansion if you need to. ( same reason that it's good to live near the stairs. )

( peter's been watching this entry happen, seeing all her responses to everyone, shaking his head in some kind of wonderment. he's still asking that question: who is this girl who seems to be so much all at once. he can barely keep up.

a smile tugs across his face, and he'll just be a creep. and watch for awhile, trying to learn more about her by how she interacts with people and just all of it. she's kind of like this bright ray of sunshine in this otherwise dreary place, how she comes in with a burst of energy and this smile. he speaks up a little later, mostly because he's curious. and totally casual obviously. )

No room yet, but! I've narrowed it down to floors five and six. I'm killing it.

What floor doesn't matter. It's all about what you do with the room. Plan for every possible disaster. Have canned foods, weapons, survival gear. You can get it from the closet.

The floor is likely to change with the event, but sometimes Wonderland lets you keep what you've prepared so it's worth putting the effort into it.

A wise and clever girl told me somewhere in the middle, but close to the stairs is ideal, so that's what I'm going with. ( high up enough that if something bursts through wonderland's doors she's not the first one hit, low enough she can still get out if she needs to. )
