one ♛ video;
[ A red-haired woman appears on the screen, eyes wide with alarm. ]
Hi, so... I'm not really used to this whole Alice in Wonderland scene, but... curiouser and curiouser! Heh --
[ She laughs, but judging from the way she averts her eyes and scratches along the part of her hair, she's at a loss for words and with goodand predictable reason. The smile soon dies off Charlie's face, but it tries hard to stay on there! ]
I don't suppose there's someone out there who can fill a girl in on what's going on? Preferably someone without 'queen' or 'mad hatter' in their job description?

[action BECAUSE I DO WHAT I WANT]
A problem that has caused him to completely forget about the phone tucked away in his trenchcoat pocket. He hasn't looked at it since he's arrived, and has therefore been completely oblivious to the goings-on of the network.
He seems to get by without it, though. As things stand, it's easy enough for him to drop in on people here, and so keeping up with them is no more difficult than a flap of his wings.
His encounter with this new arrival is completely happenstance, for that reason. It's as he's leaving the building through the front doors of the entrance hall to do a patrol of the area (which doesn't seem to be necessary outside of events, but he has to pass the time somehow) that he almost bumps right into the woman.
He takes a step back and looks her over.] ... Apologies.
fhdjghfjghfjkdg [action]
Still.
You might also be a John Constantine or Columbo cosplayer, so she just asks: ]
For what? Kidnapping me to the Magical Kingdom?
[ And then suddenly she realizes she's talking to someone in person, has a hand on his chest when he bumped into her so she could answer a message on her phone that wasn't actually there to begin with... and then turns around and nearly jumps out of her skin. ]
Okay! I don't care where you came from, but I'm... kind of freaking out right now, so... give me some space.
[action]
Nonetheless, Castiel does as she says, taking a few more steps back. He hadn't meant to invade her personal space in the first place.]
... Freaking out? About what? [And then, considering her original question, he decides to clarify.] I'm not the one who kidnapped you.
[Why would he be? He doesn't think his vessel cuts a particularly intimidating image.]
[action]
Carver Edlund wasn't all that great with descriptions of the characters except for the basics. Just enough to allow readers to make their own interpretations -- Becky imagined Dean to look... differently than reality it would seem -- and in the case of Meg she took on quite a few forms so, can't blame her for not recognizing people right away.
But Castiel... well, he has certain trademarks. Anyway, with all that confused staring, she gives him a that's what I thought look before backing off. ]
Guess I'll just be going, then. But uh, nice Constantine cosplay. Killer.
[ ...Trademarks that happen to be shared with another. ]
[action]
Unless he's the first person she's actually laid eyes on in this place, which may be possible. Castiel's mouth thins into a line when she tries to dismiss him.
It would be simple enough to let her go, but he doesn't want people to begin assuming that he has anything to do with what's going on here, not when he's as much of a victim as everyone else.]
I don't know what that means. [He says it with a shrug, almost defeated about it because he's used to not following the things that humans say.]
You woke up here without any memory of how you arrived. The same thing happened to me, and everyone else captured here.
[action] you just look shady with that stupid old trenchcoat and stupid pretty face and...
What bunker did you just crawl out of, Columbo?
[ She says before edging around Cas in her effort to just... go someplace else. You know, to another place that she doesn't recognize in what is certainly a dangerous setting because Wonderland is seriously messed up. Anyone whose read the books knows it's one big bad acid trip. Except she stops when he mentions being stuck in the same situation she's in. ]
You too? Well, welcome aboard the crazy train, I guess.
[action] he's not a hobo promise
The name she uses causes him to squint and tilt his head at about the same time. Yet another name that begins with the letter 'C.' Cas, Clarence, Columbo... there does seem to be some kind of pattern forming here.
He makes room for her as she tries to maneuver around him. It doesn't take much to convince her that he's not behind any of this, at the least.]
I think I should be the one welcoming you. [Seeing how he's been here for a few weeks now.] Your name?
[action] fiiiiiinally gets around to tagging after vacation and catching up and fhjkg
Yeah, I'm feeling the love, that's for sure. [ A pause, but then she turns back to the stranger, seeming to mentally decide that a little talk might actually help her find the exit if she isn't too unfriendly. ] Charlie Bradbury. [ Even if it's not her real name. ] What's yours?
[action]
It must be a name he's only heard in passing, but that's enough to keep him curious.]
Castiel.
Re: [action]
[ It doesn't take long after hearing that for everything to slide right into place. Her guarded expression drops, replaced quickly with the startled look of someone who just realized they were in the presence of a celebrity. Well, a celebrity if you're all too familiar with the reality behind Carver Edlund's books. ]
Holy awesome, you're my bro Dean's mancrush! [ Her smile drops for a second as she quickly adds: ] -- Platonically speaking, I mean. But anyway. You're him! Cas! I can't believe I'm actually meeting you!
[ Cue fangirl babbling for a moment. ]
[action]
And even then, it's mainly just confusion that comes from it. First of all, Dean is not this woman's brother. Dean only has one sibling, who Castiel is very familiar with already.
As for "mancrush," he's probably better off not touching on that. What seems to matter here is that Charlie is a friend of Dean's, and has heard of Castiel through him. That would explain why her name seems vaguely familiar.]
How do you two know each other? [He may as well clear that up first.]
