[Welcome to a feed of the diner, where Souji is standing behind two pyramids carefully constructed from cheeseburgers (there's also a plateful of Christmas cookies, but they're shoved off to the side because Mansion made those, not Souji). He's looking at them in bemusement, as though he's only just now realized just how many he's actually made.

He's wearing a pale pink apron that probably actually belongs to Tohru. In the background, he's already dragged out the Colonel and decked him out with a Santa Hat and string of lights.

After a few seconds, he shrugs and looks at the camera, noticing it's on. Well, that decides it.]

I'd like to propose a trade. [As though this was his plan the whole time.] A cheeseburger for a Christmas gift idea.


[OOC Note: Souji will be about 5 due to cookies from 12/13-12/15. I'm including a top level catch all thread for anyone who wants to interact with him during those dates. This will probably be the only time he'll ever be shorter than most of the other residents of the Mansion.]

[Minato is not surprised, is he, to see a little Souji opening up the door to his room.]

Souji-kun?

[Souji ducks back for a second, then peers at Minato from around the door frame, head tilted, totally unabashed at walking into someone else's room.

After a second, he decides it's alright and comes in.

He nods.]

[Minato set his book down on the bed where he had been sitting, then got up to be closer to Souji. He gently closed the door behind him.]

Do you know my name, Souji-kun?

[Souji shook his head, one hand wrapped around his other upper arm. He didn't speak, but just stared up at Minato.]

"Minato."

[Minato knelt down and held onto Souji's free hand, writing the kanji for it on Souji's palm.]

It's nice to meet you. [He let go of Souji's hand.] Did you want to play?

[Souji considered that, and finally nodded.]

Play what?

[jivitadana]

[Minato smiled, then went to get his Evoker.]

Don't be scared, okay? It doesn't hurt.

[Minato summoned using his Evoker, having Jack Frost come out to say hi, or more like "hee ho!" to Sou-hee. Jack Frost had said as much too, "hee ho" and "Sou-hee" in that high-pitched cheerful or mischievous tone all Jacks had.]

[Souji watched Minato with wide, but neutral eyes. He couldn't help a tiny smile though as Jack Frost greeted him. He reached for the Persona with one hand, moving slowly.]

[jivitadana]

[The Persona happily giggled and twirled around, his hand touching Sou-hee's now. Souji was cute, but not as cute as a Jack like him!

Minato smiled, letting Souji feel what his Persona was like. He thought Souji would be okay with just the Jack. He didn't need to see the others just yet. They were a little too intimidating.]

Did you want a Jack Frost doll, Souji-kun? I can try to get one for you.

[Or another plush of sorts.]

Really?

[Souji nodded. He wasn't sure he was supposed to take things from near-strangers, but it was quite possible he'd misheard. He sometimes got distracted.]

[jivitadana]

Let me get it for you.

[Minato couldn't get a Jack Frost doll from the closet yet, but he would try. But for now, he got a fox plushie instead for Souji, bringing it over to him.]

Is this okay? I think he's cute like you are.

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji accepted the fox with both hands and hugged it, burying his nose in its fur.

He nodded.]

[So cute. Minato gently petted Souji's hair, and had Jack Frost sink back into his soul.]

We can rest here for a little bit before we go out to play.

[He'd have to get Souji a scarf and a hat and gloves (or mittens) before they went outside. He picked Souji up though along with his fox plushie and had him sit on the bed.]

Did you want to help me with something first?

[Souji nodded, still hugging the fox. It would be right, to help out, since he'd been given a gift.]

How?

[jivitadana]

You can tell me which song you like better.

[Minato knelt down next to his violin case and opened it up.]

It's okay to like both of them too.

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji leaned forward to see better, squishing the plush against his stomach.]

What's that?

[jivitadana]

A violin. I can show you.

[Minato lifted the instrument out of the case and showed it to Souji along with the bow. Then he plucked each string individual to let Souji hear each note.]

I'll play you something. Is that okay?

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji nodded and scooted closer to the edge of the bed, sitting up straight to listen. His eyes were on Minato and the bow as he set it to the strings, unsure what to expect.]

[jivitadana]

[Minato made sure the violin was tuned, then he played the first song, which was this song. (It's a Thai bowed string instrument, but close enough! It's the song that counts!) When he was finished, he lowered the bow and looked to Souji for approval or disapproval.]

[Souji listened attentively, and when Minato finished, he reached around the fox plush and clapped for the song.]

[jivitadana]

[Minato smiled, bowing his head a little. He readied his bow to play the second song. Once he was done, he lowered the violin this time.]

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji had the same reaction as before, listening closely and then applauding. Then he sits in silence for a long moment before hugging the plush close and hiding his face behind its head.]

...I can't choose.

[jivitadana]

Then both is okay.

[Minato smiled, setting the instrument down in the case along with the bow.]

If you liked them, then that makes me happy.

[Souji smiled into the fox's fur, his cheeks tinged red.]

Yay.

[jivitadana]

[So cute! Minato closed up the case and set it aside. He went over to Souji to smooth out his hair and kiss the top of his head.]
