[Souji's sitting on his couch with several books stacked beside him and origami cranes lining the window sill behind him. He's not looking directly at the camera when the feed comes on, but the way he sits back a little as it starts indicates that he turned it on intentionally.

He's quiet for a few seconds, as though he's listening to something. Then he looks at the device, pensive.]

How much should someone worry about the future? Or is the present more important?

[He isn't addressing anyone in particular, but he sounds like he needs a second (actually a seventh) opinion on this.]
sarcasmbend: ([serious] Yeah? I'm listening.)

[Ah, Sokka's a schedule kind of guy. He'll spend a few hours or so working on them, and he's the one always keeping the team on track. This question is right up his alley.]

They're both pretty important, but you definitely should focus more on the present.
sarcasmbend: ([intelligence] Hmm.)

Exactly! ...Although, it's really more difficult to plan for things here than back at home.

[If all the maps propped up behind him don't count for anything. Still, he does sound a bit better than the last time they spoke. Aang being here now hopefully changes things.]
sarcasmbend: (Eh I guess I could...)

Yeah, seriously. And I really thought there might've been a pattern to everything for a while too. Although, I've gotta say, that last event reminds me of that one from a few months back.

[And a sigh, because that wasn't a good thought.]

So are you worrying about stuff here or what?
