[ She's felt so restless for a number of different reasons, and she keeps picking up her device, not sure who she's wanting to reach out to, who she wants to be reaching out to, so finally, she just addresses the network at large. ]

So, getting drunk for multiple days after you die. Par for the course, or just me?

Second worst event I've ever seen.

[ He won't get over losing Patterson anytime soon, but nothing will haunt him more than Jane's death, and the event that spawned it. ]

You're not alone, are you? Drinking's fine, just don't do it alone.

What? No, I'm good. I'm good alone. Being alone. Dying alone. You know, all the alone things.

[ That is, frankly, ridiculous. ]

Did I misunderstand you? You died during this event. I know everyone copes differently, but coping alone isn't really coping at all. Add drinking to the mix and you've got the perfect storm.

A perfect storm of what?

Maybe I'm wrong, but it doesn't sound like you're coping at the moment. You're drinking, which is fine for a while.
But you're alone, you're not dealing with it. It'll hit you hard eventually.

[ Hence, the perfect storm. Emotions simply can't be brushed aside, and he knows that. He's also a hypocrite, but oh well. ]

So what are you gonna do about it, find your way to my place?

It wouldn't be hard.

[ In all seriousness, Kurt would never violate someone's privacy like that. He wouldn't just barge into her room without her consent, regardless of his concerns. But he hopes the sentiment itself is understood. ]

Why do you care so much? You don't even know me. Right? I mean, we haven't met before, I'm pretty sure. Who are you?

Do I need to know you to be concerned? It sounds like you're going through something rough right now. Wonderland throws a lot at us we can't control, but helping each other is something we have power over.

I'm gonna keep drinking this alcohol, and if you want to come make sure I'm okay, feel free.

I'll be right over. i'm Kurt, by the way.

Great, okay. Room 1, second floor, Kurt.

[ She gets how over text that might come across as looking shitty, but she's actually super...touched (?) that this guy cares so much. ]

[ He explains to Jane that he won't be gone for long, bringing a bottle of bourbon with him. Jane's watching over Patterson right now anyway, otherwise he wouldn't want to leave her.

Knocking on the door, he speaks softly. ]

It's Kurt.

[ Liv opens her door in sweatpants and a t-shirt that has a few holes in it around the collar, and lets out a laugh, staring at him in surprise. ]

You actually came.

[ Then, she steps aside to let him in. ]

Yeah. Of course.

[ The way she's dressed barely gets a passing glance from him. She looks comfortable, and he imagines that's what's desperately needed right now. ]

I brought some good bourbon, if you want any.

Are you calling into question the integrity of my Jim Beam?

[ It's a joke and she leads him inside to her kitchen where there's an island with barstools. She pours each of them a glass, inviting him to sit. Then, she takes a sip of the far superior bourbon and raises her eyebrows. ]

Okay. You win. You've made your case.

You're on the right track with Jim Beam, just need a little guiding.

[ He's pleased when she defers, sitting down with her. He tips his glass back and forth, swirling the liquid around and then sipping slowly, a pleased smile on his lips. ]

The best drink, though, is a single malt scotch called Lagavulin. Heard of it?

I haven't, but it sounds way out of my price range.

[ It just sounds fancy and expensive. How'd you become such a connesiur?

[ Something about his name is familiar and she's trying to puzzle it out as they talk. She knows she hasn't met him, but for some reason, she knows the name. ]
