[ She's felt so restless for a number of different reasons, and she keeps picking up her device, not sure who she's wanting to reach out to, who she wants to be reaching out to, so finally, she just addresses the network at large. ]
So, getting drunk for multiple days after you die. Par for the course, or just me?

second floor, room one.
( action )
Within a couple of minutes, Liv will hear a couple of knocks on her door. ]
( action )
You're worried about me?
[ She says that in the same way someone might say 'awww look at that puppy.' She's touched, really. ]
( action )
'Is he worried about her'? ...Huh?
Mondo didn't see that question coming at all that he needs a moment to process that. Wait, he's worried for her? Well, he doesn't want her to be dying again, that's for sure, so that's... just... just... look, he just, doesn't want to that person who's aware someone's on their way to be dying and yet ignores it and doesn't do anything, okay!!
His ears and cheeks turn red at that, earning a loud grunt of annoyance. ]
...The hell, you look better than I thought.
[ Here he thought she'd be swaying all over... well it's good that she isn't!! Alright, quick, he needs to do something to fan out all these awkward!
Immediately, he pours a glass of water, weird as it is being done while standing in front of her door. Whatever, he's got not time to think about that! ]
There. [ He shoves the glass of water towards her. ] Drink.
( action )
There you go. Water consumed. And I definitely know how to hold my liquor but it was nice of you to be worried.
[ A shocking number of people were and that actually makes her realize...maybe she's making friends in this place? ]
( action )
That would apply to his unawareness of Liv's condition, and this current situation. He just came here without thinking further what he was going to do after, and now with the door closed it finally clicks in him: he's in a room with a lady, just the two of them. Of course, he has none of strange thoughts in mind with her, but he's still a teenage boy and he will be nervous upon this realisation.
His two months in Wonderland have exposed him to many females, something he didn't get to experience back in his world thanks to being in an organisation that's almost always exclusively made up of males. While he started off being really awkward then, the happening after happening down here didn't give him chance for that. This situation, though, is different because it's mostly private, unlike how it's usually him encountering them in a public area and having to talk to them for some kind of reason.
So, yeah, don't mind him still standing by the door with his arms crossed and back straight, 'cuz holy crap, he's in some lady's room. ]
Uh. ...You didn't sound like you were plannin' to control your drinkin', though. You should eat somethin', too.
[ Won't you feel sick if you drink so much without consuming anything else? He isn't really sure, but that's the image he has on alcohols. ]
should she tell him some truths????? ( action )
Maybe you have to trust that I'm fine? I'm a doctor, I know my limits.
[ She says that gently, because, while not untrue, it's not entirely true. ]
if you'd like to?!!? absolutely??? ( action )
Are you now? [ Despite the wording, his tone is one that asks for confirmation rather than doubting. ] Am I buttin' in your problem then?
( action )
Sit down. I'm going to tell you something that'll either make you relieved since you're so worried or...you'll leave and my life will get a little worse in Wonderland. Either way, you should sit. Want something to drink? Of the soda or juice variety, I mean.
( action )
...Uh, nah, it's good. Don't worry 'bout it.
[ That awkwardness has since turned into a ball of nerves and concern. What does she have in store for him? Without thinking, he trains his eyes on her, waiting on the edge of his seat. ]
( action )
Okay. So. Mondo. The thing is I'm...dead. I mean, I was dead earlier, before Wonderland made me more dead, and now I'm still dead.
[...Make sense? ]
( action )
His eyes dilate just slightly, mouth gaping open. He's definitely taken aback, but not nearly as much as how 'normal' teens his age would. ]
O...kay.
[ He quickly fixes his posture, nodding his head at her to gesture that he's with you, go on. ]
( action )
[ She might not actually have to explain the rest. It depends on how curious he is. ]
( action )
So uh... You're not human? That's what you're sayin', right?
[ She sure looks like one, though. Then again, Jon is half 'alien', apparently, so... is she something like that? ]
( action )
[ Liv has no idea what the protocol is on calling oneself human, even if she knows she's a zombie. ]
I guess, technically there's a name for what I am now? But who needs labels, am I right?
[ Evasive maneuver engaged. Because now she's nervous. ]
( action )
M-my bad, didn't mean to say you ain't one, 's just... there are a buncha fellas here who look human but ain't one! 'cuz like, we all came from different worlds! [ Crap, his voice's getting loud ー his nerves are getting the better of him. After keeping his mouth shut for a moment, he tries again, slowly this time. ] ...Just, y'know. Don't wanna call you the wrong thing... somethin' like that.
[ While he's not the absolute worst at handling sensitive situations, he's definitely not very good at it either. In a state of confusion, he begins scratching his head awkwardly, stealing glances Liv's way in attempt to make sure he isn't offending her too much. ]
But uh, yeah, you're right. It doesn't really matter what we are.
[ It really doesn't. Being human doesn't make you any less threatening than other species, just like being human doesn't limit you to only mingle with fellow humans. ]
( action )
I get it, it's okay. I guess...technically...
[ Okay, time for the whole truth because now that she's gone this far, if he found out in some other way and she'd lied by omission, she feels like that'd be worse, somehow. ]
...Technically I'm a...[ Liv pauses, wets her lips, and looks at him. ] A zombie.
( action )
Zom-- [ Zombie?! ] Huh?! [ That's... that's definitely not what he expected to hear. He thought she was just human with special powers or something, but... what? His brain's having problem catching up. ] Uh, hold on... [ Let him just process it for a moment here. What's a zombie again? An undead human? Don't they usually look much more gruesome and less, er, human? Just the media representation? ]
Well, uh...
[ He trains his eyes to her surroundings, to her, then to the surroundings, and back to her. ]
That's not how I imagined zombies look like.
[ And it still doesn't really click in his head, somehow. ]
So... you died once back home then came back alive there?
( action )
In my world, it's only in movies and tv shows that zombies look like what...you're imagining I think. But as proven by being in Wonderland and going through events, some worlds get shuffling, groaning, vicious monsters right away.
[ Is this going easier than she thought it would? ]
So, yeah, I was...in an accident. I drowned. And then I came back.
( action ) sorry for the lateness!!
[ The word 'zombie' just has that kind of... unpleasant connotation. For some reason it doesn't seem to fit her. It just doesn't feel right calling her that, even if he doesn't have the rights to decide that. ]
...doesn't that just make you a superhuman?
( action ) sorry for my own!
Yeah. I guess it does. Kind of. When I get angry I get fast and strong.
[ Also bitey. ]
But I guess there is one good thing that comes out of it. I'm a medical examiner back home. And I'm guessing you've put together what zombies eat? When I do...eat, I have visions of whoever that person was, I see their memories. And since we have unsolved cases all the time, I can help when people are killed and the case is cold.
( action ) no worries at all ♡
Goddamn, Aniki, why did you say women gotta be protected? His experiences so far have shown him nothing but they're terrifying. Not that he won't protect Liv when things come to that, but... damn. There's something about the way she says it that makes it sound not just 'fast and strong'.
--Uh.
Wait what. ]
Huh?!
[ She eats those too?! ]
Wh, what... Uh, what the... What do they taste like?
[ Is that the important matter here... ]
No, uh, I mean... holy crap.
[ He's definitely shaken about this reveal. It wasn't until now that he drew the lines from dot to dot about this particular fact and that's just... man. Rather than being scared, he's just terribly confused. Thing is, he knows she won't just attack him out of nowhere, she's just doing that to help with research. Heck, she most probably doesn't even want this to happen to her, because like, who the fuck does? But it's just, like, what does that even feel like? What does he say to that? He's quiet for a moment, trying to wrap his head around it. ]
.....
[ But obviously, he can't. It's impossible to relate to unless he's in her position. He looks at her for a moment before running his hand on his own face, sighing.
Well. Actually, there's one thing he can sort of relate to. He's experienced seeing someone else's memory through one of the events here, and it was... unpleasant. So having to, you know, eat a corpse on top of that? ]
...That must feel shitty.
( action )
They're pretty boring, in all honesty, so I cook them all kinds of different ways. No reason to be boring and stereotypical about it, right?
[ She's trying to make light of it somehow but then she nods in acknowledgement. ]
It does. I mean, mostly because...I can't exactly tell a ton of people, right? I trust you. And you were worried about me, so I thought you deserved the truth.
( action )
[ Maybe it's because he's incredibly conscious of everything at the moment, he can see her casual attempts to air the heavy atmosphere out. But as much as he'd like to cooperate in that, he can't exactly think of a better response. If his big bro was here, he definitely would've known what to say better in this kind of situation. Goddammit, what would he say?
Mondo's intense nape rubbing promptly halts when he hears what she has to say after. The awkward look in his face pales.
I trust you.
His train of thoughts stop there, his movements freeze. Words that are supposed to warm his heart send sharp prickles to it. ]
...'m... not really trustworthy.
[ Ah, that's right. He's been getting too far ahead of himself.
He was internally glad that he was slowly making some 'friends' here, the rare few ones he'd made his gang back home, those who weren't hanging out with him out of 'duty'. It was a good feeling, to know that some people have your back. But it just hits him that that also means one thing: they're the people who don't know of his past.
His arm drops to his side, unable to meet her eyes now. What would she think if she knew? Does he trust her as much as she trusts him? He tries to swallow something, gulp back something, to wash over his increasingly dry throat. But even then, the words can't climb up. ]
( action )
Are you going to make an announcement to the entire mansion letting them know I'm dead and eat brains?
[ She asks that question bluntly with one eyebrow raised. ]
Look, Mondo...we all have a past outside of Wonderland. Some of it's terrible. But all that counts while you're here is who you are while you're here. Does that even make sense?
