[ Cullen waits by the forest, near where the lizard's watery tail disappears between the trees. Half an armory is propped against a fallen trunk, lest any potential sparring partners did not think to bring their own. He trains alone as he waits, sword in hand, practicing stances. Very rarely he remembers to glance at his communication device, to see if any messages require a response. ]

What about other kinds of magic? Were you formally trained before?

Mostly self-taught. It isn't magic, though, it's just... me? It wasn't anything I learned, it's just part of me. Like a mutation.

[ Someone like her? Cullen still hasn't forgotten the first person he met here. He doesn't cherish the memory.]

I may not be the best person to work with, given your ability. But I will do what I can if you would like to try.

I don't have a lot of experience with sparring. I'd kind of like to learn? At least get a little practice in. I feel like I shouldn't depend on powers all the time. They might not always come through for me. If that's not the kind of thing you're looking for, that's fine, too, but maybe we could help each other.

[ Any powers like that and it seems anyone's first concern should be using them too much, rather than too little. Still, Cullen can hardly fault the sentiment. ]

[He doesn't leave Cullen waiting long. When he shows up, it's without a weapon in hand, and by Wonderland's standards, he looks perfectly ordinary: a tall, blonde teenage both in a t-shirt and jeans, with nothing terribly remarkable about him other than an impressively athletic physique. At the very least, he doesn't look dangerous.]

Hey. Actually, I don't think I got your name earlier? Sorry. That was rude of me. I'm Teddy.

[ He glances the boy up and down. Nearly moves on to letting him choose a weapon, too. But this will bother him the entire time if he doesn't... ]

You said you shapeshift. Is this your true form?

[Way to start things off with a loaded question, even if he didn't mean to. Teddy shifts uncomfortably, then tries to play it off with a friendly smile, sinking his hands into his pockets.]

Actually, I'm not sure what my true form is. It's a long story, but growing up, yeah, I always thought this was it. This is what I look like from day-to-day, anyway. Kind of my 'default' setting.
