[ Cullen waits by the forest, near where the lizard's watery tail disappears between the trees. Half an armory is propped against a fallen trunk, lest any potential sparring partners did not think to bring their own. He trains alone as he waits, sword in hand, practicing stances. Very rarely he remembers to glance at his communication device, to see if any messages require a response. ]

[And Jean made good on his word. It wasn't like he had anything more important to do at the moment. He showed up in his uniform, looking sharp and respectful. It'd been awhile since he had an instructor telling him what to do, but he still knew proper protocol.]

[He walked past to examine the array of weapons, both real and meant for training. He eventually picked a small wooden dagger.]
This is the sort of thing we'd use when we practiced hand-to-hand when I was a cadet.
