Um... hello, everyone. I'll try not to other you, and make this quick. I just had a few things to say.

First... during that zombie event, when were trapped in our fantasies... Several of you tried to help me get out of that place, and even though I was really stubborn, I really appreciate what you did. So, thank you.

Second, Valentine's Day was yesterday. Normally I would have given my friends some chocolate, but, um, since we just had an event, I wasn't sure if anyone would be in the mood to have some... B-But I'll be making some in the kitchen, so if you still want one, you can come here and take some.

And last, um... I write down what happens every day in my journals, but lately I was thinking, I'd like to start putting photos in there too... Of both good and bad memories. So I was going to ask the closet for a camera... b-but I don't know a lot about cameras. So, um, I guess, I just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions or tips about that kind of thing...?

It is? I'd only heard about it in stories back home. It wasn't something people like me would get to taste.

Have you tasted any since you got here?

Yeah, Ryuji's made me taste a ton. He thinks it's funny or something. I like the... it's called "dark?" It sort of tastes like sweet coffee. The "milk" stuff is too sweet.

[A pause... then a smile with a little tilt of her head.]

Mmm! That suits you.

Suits me?

[naughty_nurse]

A-huh. I bet you wouldn't like white chocolate either... you're the strong, serious types of person. That's dark chocolate.

[angewiesen]

So what food you like says stuff about your personality where you're from? What's white chocolate?

[naughty_nurse]

White chocolate is even sweeter than milk chocolate, so you definitely wouldn't like it. Some people accuse of it not being real chocolate, because it has so little actual chocolate in it.

But... anyone can like anything, it's not tied to something. I just meant... from what I know about you, Jean... you just seemed to fit it.

[angewiesen]

Well, if chocolate is brown, something white couldn't have chocolate in it. [That's color theory, folks!]

I think I get it. Because it's bitter, right?

Because it's very strong, just like you.

[angewiesen]

Strong?

[He wouldn't disagree, but--]

When did you get that idea about me?

[naughty_nurse]

It's just, when you talk about how hard you've had it before, and how you're always very honest about everything... it just seems very strong, to me.

[angewiesen]

[He kind of wanted to hear that he looked big and strong, but eh, that was a proper compliment too. He'll take it.]

You kind of have to be. It's either that, or you fall off the deep end.

Even so... Um, well, I've been trying to be more honest, and... I'm glad we have someone like this around.

[angewiesen]

Glad? What'd'you mean by that?

[He's not perturbed, just curious.]

Sometimes we need people like that to remind us of the important things, things we might take for granted, and bring us back down to earth.

[angewiesen]

...Huh. That's pretty insightful there, Mikan.

[Genuine compliment! Blush!]

[Be proud! Jean is very scant with his compliments, and half the time they're delivered sarcastically.]

'You been doing good? You seem a little more, uh... stable? [Was that the right word for it?]

Mmhmm! I'm doing much better, I'm trying to improve myself.

[Like cutting your friends up again? Jean doesn't think she has, but it's still worth asking.]

No, none at all! Even though the events are still terrible and scary... nothing awful has stayed.

That's the nice thing about this place. Troubles rarely linger.
