[video] A Small Announcement
[The video opens on Tim looking fairly composed and not like he's having an Extremely Bad Day.
He is, in fact, having an Extremely Bad Day. Turning up to bother your little brother-person and finding him completely gone with no trace will do that. He's looked around for any hint that Damian will be back, but there's nothing, and so that means that someone has to make an announcement. And apparently today, that someone gets to be him.
He is Totally Fine. Really.]
I'm sorry to have to be the one to make this announcement: Damian Wayne seems to have returned home.
[And if he hasn't and is just messing with Tim in a really, exceptionally cruel way, Tim will have to kill him.
He probably isn't, though. Tim shakes his head, realizing he's been staring at the camera too long.
The video ends.]

video;
Do you want to hang out?
video;
Yeah, I'd like that.
video;
( he just has to pack some things up. no need to travel alone, is there. )
video;
[Please distract him from making some of the tweaks and changes Damian was working on.]
action;
he has access to the cave, sure, but he still knocks once before going through all the security measures damian had set up, peeks through the crack made in the door before waltzing on through. )
I'm here!

Over here.

What're you doing?

There is no possible way it should all be balancing right now. Thanks Tactile Telekinesis.]
You got a TV in here? Cause I've got some action movies with terrible fight choreography just begging to be criticized.
action
But he's definitely eyeing the ice cream and the zesti.]
What movies?
action
Ummm... [He shifts the pile so he can look at the titles.]
Exploding Explosions of course, that's just classic. Some kung fu flicks. A few with giant monsters.... all the good stuff.
[He puts down the pile of food on the floor and hands the stack of boxes over to Tim.] Here, pick something.
[This is not optional. Kon makes himself comfortable, leaning back against the bed, and grabs a box of pizza.]
action
[As though he really expects that Kon would ever do anything else. He chooses one of the monster movies and put it in before going to settle next to Kon. He reaches over and takes a piece of pizza, pulling the six pack of zesti closer to him.]
Hope you're in the mood for monsters.
action
[He grins good naturedly and takes a big bite of pizza.]

delayed text. let's say this happens after jason talks with cissie.
if you feel like punching something meet me in the training room in 20
[Tim did offer to fight him before, after all. And Jason knows he would rather punch his problems into submission than try to talk them out, so. Maybe this will be good for both of them.]
excellent
But he's offering, and as it turns out, Tim has some frustration to take out. It's stupid and childish and he definitely doesn't want to talk about it.]
See you there.
no subject
You ready?

[He moves toward him, focused and a little wary. He knows better than to believe Jason's act, but he doesn't really know anything about his style. It's almost certainly different than it was when he was Robin and Tim was a kid with a camera, and... Tim had just been a kid with a camera. He'd known a little at the time, but memory is a malleable thing, and what he remembers might not have much to do with how Jason actually fights.
And there have been a few years between then and now--maybe more for Jason. He doesn't know. It's not like they've discussed it.]
no subject
[For most things, sure; he learned that from Batman himself, to always be prepared, for anything. But Jason hadn't been prepared for Wonderland, and he hadn't been prepared for Tim, either, though he knows, in retrospect, that he really should've been. Of course Batman would take on another Robin. The war always needs new soldiers. The war doesn't stop when one soldier falls.
Jason is ... a little less angry than he has been, at least where Tim is concerned. He's had time away from Gotham, time to get used to the idea of his successor's existence, time to remember what it was like to be Tim's age and full of ideas about his chosen purpose in life, time to remember what being Robin meant to him. Maybe he'll never stop being angry at Bruce, but there are layers upon layers of reasons for that. Jason doesn't know Tim like he knows Bruce.
So this is where and how he chooses to start getting to know Tim. Jason pushes off from the ropes, rolls his shoulders back as he moves in toward Tim, really studying him now like he hasn't before.]
But I'm not gonna fight you. I want you to try to hit me.
[Jason has no intention of throwing punches at a kid who's having a shit time. But he is curious to see what Tim can do, and if he's as good as he should be - well, Jason wouldn't be himself if he couldn't take a punch or two or twelve.]
Deal?
video
...Thanks for the info, dude.
[ Something in the guy's appearance reminds him of Damian, though he can't quite put what exactly. What's clear as the day is that the guy's not incredibly excited about this, just like how Mondo isn't. It's hard to when he doesn't even know yet if returning home is something that Damian wanted. ]
You're...?
video
[Despite his announcement, he can't make himself use the past tense when talking about him.]
video
Mondo Oowada. Yeah, I am.
[ He too, decides against using past tense because he does still consider Damian a friend of his, despite everything. ]
...Sorry man, must be tough for ya. How're ya holdin' up?
[ While being aware this is their first contact and all, he can't help feeling some kind of affinity and the need to reach out a little. ]
video
[You hear that, Damian? He held up his end of the deal.]
video
That's what he and Liv talked about during Christmas too. At this point, he's already beginning to embrace the life here ー though of course it'd be better if it could be safer. He's met many people he wouldn't have otherwise, people who had become important part of his life, and he's learned so much. But the reality is that they can be sent home anytime, and won't remember a single thing about the time they've spent here. It's... kind of cruel, in some ways. ]
Heh, yeah. [ His eyes show no amusement, even if his lips are forming a vague smirk. ] I didn't even get ta know if he liked it back there. Some of the people here actually preferred Wonderland to their previous lives... not that it'll change anythin'. [ He sighs. ] Bein' here ain't our choice, but I dunno what I'd have preferred. Can't even say I regret it 'cuz it wasn't even my decision to be here in the first place.
video
You're right, though--preference and regret don't really enter into it. Maybe that's why it never came up.
