You don't have to be strong or brave. You don't have to run all the time, but sometimes you will have to.

You can hide. You can barricade yourself in a safe place, and you can hide. Make sure you have an exit route wherever you hide. Hit people at their weak spots with everything you've got if they get a hold of you.

I could arm you with a bow, and teach you how to use it. Or give you some self defense lessons and show you how to protect yourself against people bigger than you. I mean, I prefer ranged weapons myself? It keeps you a little out of the fray, lets you watch people's backs for them if they're better at close range, but it's always good to know some self defense anyway. Or I can teach you some first aid training... I--I've been a field medic. There are lots of things we can do, stuff you can learn. There's still time. And best case scenario, maybe we can find a way to stop it from happening at all.

Also rocks can be serious weapons, do not discount the power of a well aimed rock.
