[ Good evening, Wonderland! Jessica's super perky and giggly. There's so much for her to be happy about! So now everyone gets to witness her trying to be a vlogger, because she is pointedly ignoring anything involving someone's dumb supernatural call out post. ]

There's so much romance floatin' around, I swear, and it's not even Valentine's Day. Not that I've ever known what it's like to be with someone 'round then, but whatever. [ She waves that off. ] People're gettin' married, it's sweater weather and time for cuddlin'... [ She sighs happily. ] It got me wantin' to read somethin' warm and happy for once.

[ She needed something to distract her from her burning desire for vengeance, okay? ]

But okay, so, I just started this series I've always being dyin' to read. Like, it didn't even occur to me that I could do it here! And now I can and it's so good.

[ Jessica's clutching the first book of said mystery series in her hands, the top of it just barely visible on screen. It's like she had to hug it a little to make her point. This shit's the best thing since sliced bread! ]

I know not everybody's from the same world, but somebody's bound to know about it, right? And I bet at least one person's read it, 'cause it's so popular. Like, it's a movie!

[ And so, the lion finally reveals to the lambs what book she means... ]

So, anybody read Twilight? I wanna talk with you all about it!

[ Yes. She is dead serious. ]

[It isn't long before there is a tap at Jessica's door before Misty pushes it open. She's furtive, glancing back past the hooded cloak she wears and then slipping inside and closing the door.

She has a bag on her arm that gives her very much a red riding hood look, though she never considered it when she stopped by a room and "raided" the closet.

Pushing back the hood, she offers a smile.]

So... You doing okay?

[ Jessica blinks. ] Yeah, I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?

[ Give her a second, though. She's taking in the whole vibe Misty's got going with the outfit. Now she's really hoping there's a plea for fashion advice here, because that was something else. ]

I mean, if you're talkin' about that dick on the network, pff, whatever. He's just tryin' to rile people up and doin' a shitty job at it.

Oh I'm definitely talking about him. He knows what I am, for one. Two? I've been burned at the stake. I never want to repeat that again.

[There is so much bitterness to her tones thinking about that, and fear she is trying to hide.]

But that's not what I wanted to talk to you about, and I'm sure I'm going to sound like a total idiot but you were talking about romance and all, so thought maybe you could help me. Or tell me I'm an idiot. I accept that as well.

Hey, hey. [ She waves a hand dismissively. ] Don't let him get to you. Most everyone's pissed at him, anyway. And no one around here's gonna let that happen to you again, 'specially not me.

[ But Dr. Asshole is quickly off her mind. Her eyebrows go up and she leans back slightly. Good thing she's sitting, otherwise she'd probably have fallen. ]

Okay, so lemme get this straight. You wanna get advice. From me. About romance?

[ There's a long pause. ]

Sorry, but yeah, you're an idiot.

Well, when I see he hasn't had a chance to hurt people, I'll feel better. For now? I'll keep my head down and make sure my people are okay.

[Though that list of her people grows every day. She doesn't care though. So long as they're safe, she can handle this.]

Noooo, don't be like that. You read romance books and all, right? You have to have some clue that I don't. I've had all of one crush ever, and I went to Hell testing against her for Supreme.

I'm not even sure it's romance. I just... I think I may... [She sighs.] I just need to know if I'm being utterly stupid and if I'm not, what I should even do.

[ She waves off the Fitz stuff harder, sitting up straighter. Things were already in the crush phase? This changes things!

Then, without warning, she bursts into giggles. She can save the detail about her having only read about four romance novels in her entire life--Twilight included--to herself. ]

Oh-em-gee, do you like Shawn?

[ A certain swamp guy hasn't been on her radar, so Mr. Psychic is Jessica's only logical conclusion. Well, mostly logical. ]

Just make out with a pineapple and he'll love you forever. You don't even need me for advice!

[Misty is so utterly sure that she has been obvious and that everyone and their brother knew how she felt. So when Jessica made that guess, she goes wide eyed and confused.]

Wait, wait? What? Shawn? [She can't hep but to laugh.] Oh no. No. He's darling, and I think the world of him. Also, wouldn't making out with a pineapple hurt?

[Okay, maybe that's not the point.]

I'm actually, I mean, I like... Oh I sound stupid, don't I? It's Gren.

Well, I mean... [ He was older and clearly in need of companionship, making him the obvious choice. ] Never mind.

[ Her eyes widen at who the true mystery man is. ] You mean that mean lookin' guy with one arm? [ Suddenly, she bursts into giggles. ] Aww, how cute!

[ The giggles fade and she gets to the most important question. ]

...But why?

[ How would they even hug? ]

[Misty can't help but laugh, nodding. She's not that easily offended, and he is kind of mean looking when he's all scowling and not smiling like she sees often.]

That's him, and I mean, he has reasons to be cranky but he's... He's not always like that. He can be really fun and sweet, and I don't know? There's just something about him.

[Some of it she isn't sure she can explain, not sure how many of them know so much about him where she could explain the strength of him, the energy, that there's something primal and eternal about him that just leaves her heart racing.]

And he's not always mean. Or even mean really to me. He comes out and visits with me and when he smiles, it's kind of amazing.

[She glances at Jessica, blushing.] I just really like him but I have no idea how to even handle this. I've never really dated anyone before. I was homeschooled and didn't get out much until the coven found me.

[ Somehow, the thing that sticks out to her most are the last bits. ] You were homeschooled, too? And barely dated?

[ Jessica sits there, mostly blinking in surprise. Wow. She didn't think she'd find someone else like that here. What were the odds?

She gives Misty a smile. She could feel her connection to her deepening. ]

All that matters is he means somethin'. You don't have to justify it to no one.

[ She's almost jealous, really. Misty gets to feel all these brand new, amazing emotions, ones she'd squandered back home because she couldn't keep her fangs to herself. This wasn't about her own sad issues, though, so she tucks those feelings away for now. ]

I'm guessin' you haven't told him all this?

I... I ummm... [Misty sighs. She hasn't talked about this before Hell, and still now, every time, it's so hard for her.] I brought a frog back to life in middle school. So I was pulled out then. My mom couldn't explain it, and realized I was a witch. We're descendants of Salem, and it came from there. So they brought me home and, really, my education stopped then and I pretty much stayed to myself.

[And she had been happy with that, but with the coven and now here, she's learned there is so much more. Things she doesn't want to lose here.]

I don't even know how to do tell him! I mean... I don't want to lose my friend, and what if he doesn't feel the same way?

[ Her smile fades. ] Christ. I'm sorry.

[ Some people in Wonderland were really beating her in the competition for worst childhoods... ]

B-But, whatever. [ She waves off the bad vibes. ] Uhh, so. You wanna know how he feels, right? But without ruinin' things.

[ There's a brief silence as she thinks. What would her less-repressed friends back home have done? ]

...Maybe you could get somebody to ask him for you?

Don't be. It's past. I'm here now and have chances I lost there. I'm more ready to focus on here, and all I have in Wonderland.

[Whether this works out or not. She's just happy for her friends and all.]

Not Shawn! I mean, I adore him but can you imagine what he would say to Gren?

[Her eyes go wide, almost terrified at that thought.]

A lot of people tend to avoid him, I guess.

[ Jessica's still smiling, but there's a little bit of strain pulling at the edges of it. She's hoping this isn't going in a certain direction, but she has a feeling it might. ]

D'you know anyone else who might be able to ask? O-Or, like! Ooh! Maybe you could leave him a note?

[ She may or may not be one of the people who would like to keep avoiding him... ]

[Misty considers that for a moment.]

That... that might work. I can make sure I say things right then. That's what I worry about. Saying things wrong.

How do people do this?

Yeah! Yeah! [ She nods more times than she can count. This idea is sooo good! ] You'll have plenty of time to think about what you wanna say, and you can make it all sweet and happy and, like...seal it with a kiss!

[ Jessica breathes out a soft sigh. Not of relief, though! She's not relieved at all! ]

If in the process of doin' all this, you figure out how things work? Let me know, 'cause I'm havin' a fuckin' time with it myself.

Awww, okay that's sweet. I like that.

[Because Misty just thinks there's so much she can do with this. Right up until she just get overwhelmed and blurts things out.

She looks to Jessica though, curious as she cants her head.]

Is there a someone here? Or was that back home?

[ Wait. Why is this getting turned back on her? She didn't want to bring up her love life at all! She didn't say anything that might lead to that conclusion at all! ]

Um. I fucked up what I had at home, so...here, I guess.

[ Welp. Guess they're hopping on this train, then. ]

It's someone. Or...someones. I dunno. [ With a soft thunk, her face ends up squarely in her palm. ] 'S not important.

[Misty arches a brow at that, smiling though as she doesn't even hesitate, moving in to giving Jessica a hug.]

You being happy? Well that matters to me. So if there's someone...ssssss you think might make you happy? Then I say go for it. Worse comes to worse, they're mean to you and I can curse them for you.

[She's kidding! Maybe.]

[ Jessica's smiling at first from such comforting words...then she's staring, wide-eyed and shocked. ] Holy shit. You'd do that?

[ Witches, you scary! ]

What'd happen if you did? Would they shrivel up?

[ Somehow that's more intriguing than someone caring for her. She's got no experience with witches, all right? ~~That's not till season four.~~ ]

If someone hurt you on purpose? In a heartbeat. You're tribe, Jessica, and that means taking care of you.

[And for her, that is all that matters.]

Depends on the curse and what we wanted it to do. Physically hurt them. Haunt them. I can control a person, Jessica, with magic. So they should not hurt you.
