[ Good evening, Wonderland! Jessica's super perky and giggly. There's so much for her to be happy about! So now everyone gets to witness her trying to be a vlogger, because she is pointedly ignoring anything involving someone's dumb supernatural call out post. ]

There's so much romance floatin' around, I swear, and it's not even Valentine's Day. Not that I've ever known what it's like to be with someone 'round then, but whatever. [ She waves that off. ] People're gettin' married, it's sweater weather and time for cuddlin'... [ She sighs happily. ] It got me wantin' to read somethin' warm and happy for once.

[ She needed something to distract her from her burning desire for vengeance, okay? ]

But okay, so, I just started this series I've always being dyin' to read. Like, it didn't even occur to me that I could do it here! And now I can and it's so good.

[ Jessica's clutching the first book of said mystery series in her hands, the top of it just barely visible on screen. It's like she had to hug it a little to make her point. This shit's the best thing since sliced bread! ]

I know not everybody's from the same world, but somebody's bound to know about it, right? And I bet at least one person's read it, 'cause it's so popular. Like, it's a movie!

[ And so, the lion finally reveals to the lambs what book she means... ]

So, anybody read Twilight? I wanna talk with you all about it!

Why d'you like him anyway? You realize you make what he considers a wrong move, you'll just find yourself on the wrong end of a stake, right? [And she'll be dead from it. Kol isn't afraid of Seth or any weapons he might want to bring his way, because there's only one that can kill him and it sure as hell shouldn't be in Wonderland. But Jess is much squishier and vulnerable than him. It's concerning.]

I thought he was the one you were talkin' about, back when Claire died. He fit the bill you were describing. I figured it out, after the fact and all, obviously.

[ There's a long silence where it's obvious the cogs are turning in her head. ]

...I dunno. He's fun to fuck around with? And we kinda got an understandin' now.

[ She shrugs helplessly. What can you do? ]

So you were just tryin' to send a message, right?

[ That'll make this seem more logical, at least, and not whatever Seth's dumb theory was. ]

What sort've understanding? [He's not sure she should trust it.

He shrugs a little.] I guess, yeah. I don't like people hurting what's mine.

[That sounded a lot more possessive out loud than he'd meant it. But whatever.]

[ She's not sure how better to describe it. It's weird.

Not that she's going to keep trying to. His next words knock the proverbial wind out of her. She can't make that obvious, though!! ]

Um. Thanks. Guess he should be thankful he's not the one who hurt me.

[ Jesus Christ, does this mean Seth's right? That's not fair! ]

[Well, that, at least, he can understand. Even if he can't quite see having that sort of relationship that he has with someone he isn't actually related to.] Just be careful, all right?

[ It's all she says, because she's entered awkward mode. She'll just smile vaguely and look dumb, because all sense has exited her brain. The regret will come later on. of course.

[Something has shifted, oddly, though he isn't entirely sure what. He frowns a bit.]

[ The long silence that follows confirms how all right she is! All right enough to get back to a suddenly very important subject. ]

You sure you actually hate Valentine's Day?

[Kol's a bit bewildered by her sudden switching gears back to that, but he shrugs.]

[ His reaction makes her look a little put out. Then suddenly, she flails. ]

Oh my God, why are you so goddamn confusin' all the time?!

[ Somehow, this is all Seth's fault. ]

It's a real special holiday! You can't disagree just 'cause your sister was weird!

I don't know what's so confusing about it!

I've never had a reason to care about it, aside from my sister bemoaning having no one to spend it with? [What even is her POINT?!]

[ He gets such a scowl. ]

[ And she shuts off her feed with a huff. Why didn't he read her mind and know exactly what she was hinting at! ]

Oh bloody hell! [He groans and pockets his device, speeding his way to her room, knocking rather obnoxiously.] Jess, what the hell was that?! [More knocking.] JESSICA!

[ She doesn't bother trying to whisper it. He'd hear it, anyway. Stupid ancient and attractive vampire!

She spends a good while directing her scowl at the door, considering not opening it, but with a deep sigh, she gets up and does so anyway. He'll probably knock his way clear through it if she doesn't. ]

I needed a break from your face and all its... [ She gestures at him wildly. That! ]

It's-- what [Not needing an invitation into another vampire's room is kind of glorious, so he waltzes in without hesitation.] What on earth is your problem?!

[alsoagirl]

[ She's mocking his words with exaggerated bobs of her head after he passes by to get into her room. Only when she's sure he's not paying attention to her, though. He has a tendency to get toss-happy really quick.

Sighing again, much deeper this time, she shoves the door shut and flops unceremoniously back onto her couch, arms tightly crossed.

Boys were so dumb. ]

I don't have a problem. You do.

[ Because that really clarifies things. ]

Why'd you even come here?

I'm not the one throwing a complete strop over an unknown reason! [His hands settle on his hips with a huff.] Because I don't know why you're mad. [And that's annoying. If a bird is going to be angry with him, he ought to at least know WHY.]

Str--! [ There's a loud groan. ] Stop usin' your stupid foreign words!

And I'm not mad! So just let it go!

[ There's a pause. ]

Can I get you anything? Just don't expect food, 'cause I'm not weird like you.

It's British which is English and is spoken in America, would you just-- [Honestly. He's letting her side-track him and he's annoyed enough by all this already.]

[ She mutters that very softly, knowing full well she could've said it at normal volume. But no, it's more satisfying to be annoying at this point. ]

Well, I'm gonna make myself somethin', because I'm not mad.

[ With a little "hmph!" she heads over to her abnormally small kitchen, which mostly consists of a fridge, microwave, and sink. Design choices are super easy when you're on an all-liquid diet.

She digs out a few bags and makes a lovely blood cocktail, then pops it in the microwave to heat up. As it does, she turns to stare at him. ]

Course you'd come to my room and refuse some good shitty closet blood. You Vikings, I swear.

[ It's almost like she's trying to find reasons to be mad at him! ]

[He watches as she stomps off into her little kitchenette and just... balks at her for a moment or two.]

I literally don't understand anything going on right now. [He says with a sweeping motion with one hand to underline his point.]

[ After her blood's done, she sips at it, eyeing him over the rim of the glass like this is some weird vampire interrogation. ]

Yeah, course you don't. 'Cause you're you.

[ With his stupid good looks and stupid accent that she really likes even more all of a sudden!

She takes a long drink, still eyeing him. ]

Bet you're not even 1,000. You're probably 999 and lyin' to seem older.

What the fuck does that even mean, Jessica?! [This is really bloody annoying and he is getting tired of it, really quickly.] Why can't you just answer a simple question?!

You don't believe me about my age, you go right on an' ask Freya about it.

[ Her eyes slowly narrow. Why can't he just understand her feelings?!

Jessica downs the rest of the blood in a large gulp, slamming the glass down. ]

Ughh! Gettin' info outta her can be just as bad as gettin' it outta you!

[ Which is mostly a lie, but still.

One second she's there, the next she's blurred out of her room, leaving the loud clap of a door slam in her wake. This was so fucking impossible! Seth probably did this all on purpose to fuck with her! She's all confused and discombobulated!

...And barefoot, she now realizes. But whatever! She needs to run somewhere, and being outside seems like a better option than being stuck around someone who's just become even more of a maddening puzzle. ]

[Perhaps because she hasn't actually said them!]

I doubt it. [He pulls a face. Freya may be a Mikaelson and by default that may mean certain things are surely off-limits and a lot like pulling teeth to get out of her, but he's pretty sure his eldest sister is far more of a straight shooter than he is???

And now she's leaving. What is she doing? Where is she going?! He darts out of the room after her spectacular door-slam to chase her through the mansion halls out to the gardens.] What are you doing? Why on Earth are you leaving your room?!

[He snatches her arm and pulls her toward him to make her look at him.] What the bloody hell is all of this about, and stop trying to blow me off about it already!
