[ Good evening, Wonderland! Jessica's super perky and giggly. There's so much for her to be happy about! So now everyone gets to witness her trying to be a vlogger, because she is pointedly ignoring anything involving someone's dumb supernatural call out post. ]

There's so much romance floatin' around, I swear, and it's not even Valentine's Day. Not that I've ever known what it's like to be with someone 'round then, but whatever. [ She waves that off. ] People're gettin' married, it's sweater weather and time for cuddlin'... [ She sighs happily. ] It got me wantin' to read somethin' warm and happy for once.

[ She needed something to distract her from her burning desire for vengeance, okay? ]

But okay, so, I just started this series I've always being dyin' to read. Like, it didn't even occur to me that I could do it here! And now I can and it's so good.

[ Jessica's clutching the first book of said mystery series in her hands, the top of it just barely visible on screen. It's like she had to hug it a little to make her point. This shit's the best thing since sliced bread! ]

I know not everybody's from the same world, but somebody's bound to know about it, right? And I bet at least one person's read it, 'cause it's so popular. Like, it's a movie!

[ And so, the lion finally reveals to the lambs what book she means... ]

So, anybody read Twilight? I wanna talk with you all about it!

[ Yes. She is dead serious. ]

however, he gets the sense that with her, it likely doesn't, so— ] I am a notable figure of the American West in the late 1800s.

[ for the record, it is weird as hell describing himself as such. ]

You'll, uh...have to pardon me, Mister John, [ --because if he's in history books as he seems to be implying, he deserves some more respect!!-- ] but my parents didn't teach me much 'bout that. Pretty sure they'd consider it too un-Christian.

[ There's a pause before a look of wonder comes across her face. All the old people in Wonderland seem ten times cooler than the ones she knew! ]

[ un-christian? perhaps with radical christians, for not learning about history didn't line up with the way he was brought up with faith (that he lost sight of himself some time ago).

one day people will stop asking/assuming that. one day. ] Cowboys were ranch hands and outlaws, neither of which I have been. I am a doctor, though suppose history recalls me more for my other professions than the one I obtained degrees in. Gunslinging, gambling, and time spent in the company of US Marshals.

Oh. [ She gives a quick, apologetic smile. ] Sorry. Guess I learned somethin' new today!

[ What's so wrong with the idea of a cowboy doctor, though? Gosh.

Whatever. She's still going to picture him as a cowboy. ]

Can you actually still be a doctor, though? Like, all that medicine you knew is probably so ancient by now.

[ The question comes off as rude, but she doesn't mean for it to, honest to God. ]

[ it does, and with anyone else his feathers would likely have been ruffled, but he takes no offense in this instance. ]

Some of it, others not so much. You would be amazed by which practices have simply been expanded upon in modern times and not necessarily changed. Besides, an event I was a part of early on in my Wonderland experience made me privy to knowledge of advancements I missed out on.

[ She's clearly looking fascinated. The art of medicine has always been something that's felt entirely out of reach for her. Well, most things were, since her world had been closed off from the normal one for so long.

She leans in closer to the camera. ]

What all can you do, then? I wanna know all about it!

I am a dental surgeon by trade, though I am also quite knowledgeable and capable in a number of other areas. General medicine is an essential part of any medical practice. In fact, there were times when I was the only qualified doctor for miles upon miles around.

[ the old west wasn't exactly crawling with certified doctors, let alone ones that actually attended university like he did. ]
