[ Good evening, Wonderland! Jessica's super perky and giggly. There's so much for her to be happy about! So now everyone gets to witness her trying to be a vlogger, because she is pointedly ignoring anything involving someone's dumb supernatural call out post. ]

There's so much romance floatin' around, I swear, and it's not even Valentine's Day. Not that I've ever known what it's like to be with someone 'round then, but whatever. [ She waves that off. ] People're gettin' married, it's sweater weather and time for cuddlin'... [ She sighs happily. ] It got me wantin' to read somethin' warm and happy for once.

[ She needed something to distract her from her burning desire for vengeance, okay? ]

But okay, so, I just started this series I've always being dyin' to read. Like, it didn't even occur to me that I could do it here! And now I can and it's so good.

[ Jessica's clutching the first book of said mystery series in her hands, the top of it just barely visible on screen. It's like she had to hug it a little to make her point. This shit's the best thing since sliced bread! ]

I know not everybody's from the same world, but somebody's bound to know about it, right? And I bet at least one person's read it, 'cause it's so popular. Like, it's a movie!

[ And so, the lion finally reveals to the lambs what book she means... ]

So, anybody read Twilight? I wanna talk with you all about it!

[ Yes. She is dead serious. ]

There's probably some kind of weird math equation about when and how it's acceptable to smell people, but as someone who has had her hair sniffed when she totally did not want it... There is a point where it's creepy.

Yeah, you're probably right...

[ There was always that person somewhere, and being forced to be a shut-in by her parents didn't prevent Jessica from avoiding some. ]

Sorry you got creepy-sniffed. But I promise you Edward's definitely not creepy beyond that!

To be fair, it would take a lot to be as creepy as Gideon. I bet I could handle a sparkle vampire. That's 100% more sparkly than an average vampire, and I'm 100% more sparkly than the average teenage girl.

[ She snorts into a laugh. ] Definitely way more sparkly than me, that's for sure.

[ Jessica was always trying to appear way older than she was. Kind of had to, considering the age she'd be stuck at forever. ]

Should I be on the lookout for this Gideon person, though?

Ugh. No, thankfully. He was here briefly, like, a really long time ago, but he left. Even Wonderland needed him to be elsewhere, but if you ever see this really sweet-looking kid in a suit and a white pompadour? Do not trust him. Period. I don't care if he's trying to redeem himself, I will not be tricked again!

[So dramatic, Mabel. Ahem. She calms down and clears her throat.] It's a pretty complicated story. He thinks we're soulmates, and I disagree.

[ She's not totally clueless, sometimes. Somehow.

Jessica blinks and tilts her head. ]

Was it just the hair sniffin' that made you not wanna be with him?

[ It's so friggin' fascinating how much she's learning about people's relationships in Wonderland. There's so many weird ones! Maybe normal ones weren't, well, normal. ]

[That is... not wholly inaccurate.]

Oh geez. No. That was like one tiny blip. He tried to kill my brother, take over Grunkle Stan's business, and he did not take being friend-zoned well. Even with him being less evil, that crush on me is just not going away. [She sighs in true dramatic teenage girl fashion.] That's what I get for being so irresistible, I guess.

[ Jessica laughs a bit and glances away. As if she needed a reminder of nearly killing someone being a factor of the ruination of a relationship... ]

Yeah, I--I see how that could mess things up for you.

[ When she's looking back, she's slumping. Just a little. ] Is it weird I'm kinda jealous, though? Bet it's so cool to have someone to be, like, totally obsessed with you.

[ What? That'd be amazing! All this evidence to the contrary won't convince her otherwise. ]

It depends on if you like them back... If, say, a member of Sev'ral Timez was totally obsessed with me? I'd totally be down for that. But Gideon was... sooo not like that. I'd like the people obsessed with me to be cool about it.

[She has only learned so much in gravity falls. but, hey all girls wanna feel wanted, so long as they're wanted by people who aren't giant creeps.]

[ The mention of what sounds like a band perks her back up. She's always looking for new music, and Mabel seems like the type who'd for sure know some good music. ]

Is that, like, a band? [ Then, in an awed whisper: ] A boy band?

The best boy band.... Kinda. I mean some of the magic got kinda lost when I found out they're all clones, but they're really talented clones.

[alsoagirl]

[ Jessica squints for a while. She's vaguely heard of clones. Something about a sheep? Hmm.

Oh, well! Doesn't seem like something that'd be an issue. ]

I'd love to hear 'em! We can swap some favorites and everything! Like, have you ever heard the Backstreet Boys? They're the best!

[ She sighs dreamily. ] Nick's my favorite.

[ Someday, she'll work her way out of the 90s when it came to boy bands. Someday. ]

Never. [She makes a girlish sound.] Okay, we totally have to have a sleepover and trade age-inappropriate romance novels and listen to boy bands and braid each other's hair. D'you how starved I've been for this? All the girls close to my age I know here aren't really the screaming over boys type. I've got a lot of screams building inside of me, Jessica.
