[Souji looks pensive as he appears on the feed. Maybe even a little worried, which is something for him.]

I died during that last part of the event. It was my fifth time dying...but nothing strange has happened. I feel the same as always.

[He pauses, uncertain where he's going with this, before asking:]

The only person I've ever known who died five times lost his voice. So something more or less tangible, in his case.

[ Well, that's not at all comforting. ]

Was he able to choose? Or did Wonderland take it away from him before he came back?

Unfortunately, he and I never discussed it in detail. So there's still a lot I don't know.

[He's really wishing now that he had.]

There's a lot none of us know. And with people getting sent home out of nowhere, we lose a lot of useful information when they're gone.

[ No one can keep up with quizzing everyone in Wonderland indefinitely. She's sure there are plenty of threads that disappear into obscurity when people go home. ]

Wonderland doesn't do us any favors, either. It's impossible to figure out the rules of the game when they keep changing.

It's strange. For the most part, I've felt like there's a lot about Wonderland that's predictable. [He frowns slightly, pensive.] But the more I think about it, the more I think I was just telling myself that because it was more comforting than admitting to the fact that, yeah, the rules keep changing.

It's predictable in its unpredictability. But it's only human to try to find a pattern. I think it's just the way our brains are wired. [ She only looks half-convinced at her own words, so she's pretty much in the same boat. ] You're sure you don't feel any different? Could there be something missing and you just don't realize it yet?

It's possible, but if it's something I haven't noticed yet, it's something subtle. I haven't noticed any big gaps in my memory and my behavior feels the same as always to me at least.

Other people who know you are most likely to notice, then. It's worth keeping track of what they say.

[ In Julia's case, she's been writing down as much as she can since she arrived, in hopes that if something did change, she'd notice it eventually. ]
