[Souji's MIA since Sunday morning. He hadn't thought to warn anyone about where he was going, since it wasn't supposed to take this long.

Now, Souji's lying on his back on his futon, on top of the blanket and fully clothed. The device is on the floor to one side, capturing a very boring feed of Souji not moving.

At all.

Then he gasps, the sound strangled, his chest heaving like he's never breathed before. He opens his eyes and stares at the ceiling for a minute before sitting up, moving as though his whole body aches. One hand goes to his head and he sits there, disoriented for several minutes before getting up and walking out of frame.]

[Minato smiled. Souji understood.]

[He remembered the moment Palladion gave rise to Athena.]

... She was the one who sealed Ryoji in me.

[Or technically Death, but speaking about him as Ryoji was easier right now.]

When you were a kid.

[Souji considers, expression turning pensive, then bordering on melancholy.]

So your fate was put in motion that long ago.

[Minato shook his head slightly, reaching his hand out to touch Souji's and offering a small smile.]

Don't worry about it.

[It was less worry and more just...that it was wrong. How could it have been of Minato's free will if things were set in motion before he was even aware of the whole situation? How could have made any other choice in the end?

But Souji shakes his head and doesn't voice those thoughts.]

If you say so.

[Minato took his hand back, touching one of his headphones, adjusting it so that the back of it was face up like how it should be.]

... Yours was like that too.

It's different.

[He shakes his head.]

Tell me more about Aigis.

[Actually, it's not that different. But Minato will let it slide. For now. You just wait, kouhai.]

[Minato was quiet, thinking about what to say.]

We met her in Yakushima. She went to school with us.

[What else, what else...]

She's my Aeon Social Link.

[Minato nodded.]

[He shakes his head.]

I've never heard of that arcana.

[There weren't that many Personas of that Arcana either.]

I hadn't known either until a Link formed.

I'm pretty sure it's not from the actual tarot deck.

[He'd found a book about the tarot awhile back in the library and read through it ~~at night, while sitting on his couch~~.]

But it goes to show the power of social links doesn't it?

[Minato's bond with Aigis was strong enough for the cosmos to make up a tarot card for her.]

[Right, Edogawa-sensei never mentioned an Aeon arcana during his lecture about tarot cards. Minato nodded though, smiling a little. He was glad they had both used that power for something good.]

... There's one Link that I like a little more than the others.

[Just a little. He loved them all equally since they helped him the most when he needed it, except this one was special to him.]

It's the same for me.

[Minato smiled. He looked down at the floor, seeing the edge of the futon, just observing it for a second before talking again.]

Did you want something to eat?

[Since Souji just woke up from being not alive, after all.]

I'm starving.

[Minato was about to say that he could bring Souji something, but he changed his mind. He looked up at him.]

... Did you want to go out or stay here?

Let's go.

[Souji hauls himself to his feet. Not a huge selection from the closet. Gotta go to the dining room.]

[Minato watched as Souji moved, but kept his hands in his pockets per usual when he got up too.]

... Thinking of something in particular?

....Nanako's pudding.

[A beat.]

...Food tastes better when it's stolen.

[That and when it's shared. The dining room might not have that exact pudding and it wouldn't exactly be stolen, but they could try.]

... I'll try it some time.

[And down the stairs they go to get to the dining room. Thankfully no one else was there when they went in.]

[Souji smiles a little.]
