[But the noises make him flinch. That's why he's here, of course. To spend time with the only person here who seems to be as much of a paranoid wreck as he is.]
people decorate for christmas too i think. or at least they do in some countries. ive never decorated my house for it, but i've seen stores decorated for christmas.
as i understand it humanity has taken the the birth of the lord's son, a joyous occasion, and turned it into festival of too much and often rather strange food, money and family feuds. They have also taken to making everything glitter and violate fake angels by sticking them on trees.

[Chell glances away from her device for a moment, to the other occupant of the cube bunker that is her room.]

[Action]
She did not have fond experiences with that.]
[that little bit of introspection out of the way, Chell reports from the network.]
... Someone said it was the mansion putting up 'Christmas decorations'. Does that sound familiar at all?
[Action]
Anyway, there are supposed to be lights and a tree, but they don't move by themselves normally.
[Action]
It's something the mansion is doing.
[She states, like that's unusual.]
...
[Chell clears her throat quietly, as she figures out how to ask... Or, for starters, what to ask.
The lights and tree are obviously part of decorating, which is for this' holiday'... Where people give each other things? So...]
... What's... Christmas?

[Chell has a feeling it's the 'glittering mockery' she's asking about.]

I neither understand nor like it.
