[Minato remembered the room number, then trekked up the stairs. Once there at the right room, he knocked on the door.]

[It takes a moment, but Adachi opens the door carefully. He looks worse for wear — left arm bandaged up as best as he could manage, with visible cuts and bruises all over his person. It's fairly obvious that he took a real beating.

. . . but he still attempts to let out a nervous laugh upon seeing Minato.]

It really looks a lot worse than it is, I swear.

[Minato was concerned upon seeing how injured Adachi was despite what he was told about it. He nodded.]

It'll be better soon. It's okay.

[Since it was already so natural anyway, he removed his Evoker from his holster, holding it up to his temple.]

[ . . . wait, what.]

— wh-whoa, hey, that's not gonna help things!!

[But Minato pulled the trigger, and Messiah, his currently and usually equipped Persona, appeared. It hovered above the both of them.

He had his Persona cast Salvation on Adachi, and due to the spell, Minato ended up being healed too in the process though he didn't need it.]

... Did that help?

[He'd been too busy trying to parse just what exactly was going on to realize that the pain was subsiding. When Minato speaks, Adachi blinks and looks down at his arm, tugging off the bandage and examining it carefully.]

. . . huh. Yeah, it did.

[Minato nodded again, glad that it did help. He put his Evoker away, but switched his equipped Persona to Orpheus Telos with the sound of breaking glass.]

If you need to be healed later on, you can ask for help again.

[Adachi eyes him warily at that, nodding slowly.]

Sure, I'll . . . keep that in mind! If there's a need for it! Haha . . .

[There might be. In the future. No one ever knew what that future would bring. Events and the rest of this place was so unpredictable.]

... You have one too, don't you?

[Was there any real point in lying or acting cagey about it? That was his kneejerk reaction. But this kid . . . with his skill set and knowing how those kids tended to be, this kid probably already knew the answer to his question.

No point in beating around the bush.]

You're friends with them, huh.

[Minato nodded. He didn't lie about being friends with them since it was true.]

... Does that bother you?

[It was an answer, but not an answer. Adachi tilts his head to the side, eying him carefully.]

Iiii don't know about that, but . . . why did you help me?

[Minato didn't get a direct answer about his question either. He had never seen Adachi's Persona.

But Minato would've blinked in surprise if it were in his character too.]

... No one should have to hurt if it can be helped.

But you're friends with them.

But what difference does that make?

[He isn't upset, necessarily — maybe a bit annoyed, but mostly, he's confused by it all.]

It should make a big difference. You're telling me it doesn't? Not a single bit?

... Have you done anything that should keep me from helping you?

[It could be anyone who was hurt or injured. It was better if they were healed than to leave them to suffer.]

I think you know the answer to that question.

[Minato tilted his head just slightly, thinking about that response as well.]

... I'm not here to spend my time fighting against a future that I won't ever see.

[He crosses his arms as he considers that. Was that really what he was saying? If that was the case . . . well.]

And I'm not interested in wasting my own time with fighting in general.

[All of that in the future, whatever it was that happened in the years after Minato made his decision at home, it wasn't in his hands. It was all the IT and however they had wanted to deal with him.]

Then don't.

[Minato didn't really want to fight with anyone if he could also help it. Everything revolved around circumstances at specific points in time though.]
