[Hello, Wonderland. Clara is currently sitting at the desk in her room, looking very much like a miniature and much less threatening version of the Godfather. She's got her device sitting up on a nearby shelf recording, so it leaves plenty of room to have her hands clasped together and resting on the desk. There's piles of neatly stacked papers resting near her hands, all of her recent notes on a certain subject.

And what is that subject you ask?]

Magic.

[Yep, as much as it pains her to talk about magic, she really has to. But then she realizes that she actually has no idea what she wants to say, her mind's gone totally blank. And she fumbles.]

Magic, magic, magic, magic.

[She buys herself some time with that as uncertainty settles in, but she keeps her business face on.]

Thought I'd hold a bit of discussion on it, magic. Got a few questions about certain kinds of spells, if anyone's experienced in the field.

Right, so you'd be a practical parent and keep your kids safe at home? No magic or danger for them.

[A pause, and she switches gears back to his geekiness that he's apparently too embarrassed to own up to.]

What house would you be in, though?

[doctorweevil]

[Owen snorts derisively.] I wouldn't be a parent in the first place, obviously.

What, you have to ask? Slytherin. Like there's more than one house they put the tossers like me in.

[bossily]

[She doesn't comment on that first part, because she's not exactly looking to have children either. Not right now, anyway. But she does shrug to the second part, not feeling the need to remind him of what she said earlier about thinking she doesn't belong in one house over another.]

Think you're crafty enough to fit there, for sure. And you're sure all this is too geeky for you? Come on, fess up.

[Owen, on the other hand, is not interested in having kids ever, though that isn't exactly an option. He knows he'd be a rubbish dad - it's not like he had a role model growing up, after all.]

Read the books a couple years ago, that's all. We had some downtime here and there, and everybody kept making fun of me 'cos I hadn't read them yet. Haven't really seen the films or anything.

They're not that big of a deal. Don't think you're missing out on much.

[But still, she gives him an odd look, because that's sort of just a thing that people alive in their day and age do, read and watch Harry Potter. She doesn't even like magic, and she's read them and seen all the films.]

We could watch one sometime. Or anything else, really. Doesn't have to be just that.
