I understand we’re all trapped here. And this is.. Wonderland? Or so I’m told. I find that notion pretty ridiculous. No doubt we’re all being fooled. We just have to look at this logically to figure out how to get back home. I’m sure the parlor tricks here are very impressive, but we can’t honestly believe we’re being held here by magic, of all things.

Anyway, my name is John Watson. I was in the British Army and I’m a doctor. If anyone needs medical attention, let me know. I’ll do what I can to help.

[John. Still a doctor. Talking about logic. Joan isn't necessarily ready to conclude that this is definitely her other-self that the other-Sherlock mentioned, but she's definitely interested. Also slightly annoyed at his dismissiveness, understandable though it is, but she's going to put that aside for the moment.]

A lot of people have been looking logically for a while now. I don't like it, but magic's just about all that's left when you eliminate the impossible.

...well, the doctors who have been here a while are pretty well-organized, I'd be surprised if you didn't hear from them soon. [Wait, when did it become Joan's job to get this guy settled in? She doesn't actually know if he's her yet, even, and how would she go about asking that?]

I'm not a doctor. But I have... some medical experience, so I sometimes help out in emergencies. [Joan doesn't exactly sound annoyed, but the "I don't want to talk about it" vibes are strong.]
