Ib!

[Garry's been worrying all week, no matter how many times people assure him that time where he's from is suspended, so this video is definitely a sight for sore eyes.]

There should be- hold on, I'll come and find you. Where are you? Are you okay?

I'm fine.

[She shifts her rose to one hand and picks up the device with a bit of a smile because Garry is in there.]

There's a skylight here. [She points over her head at it.]

[That shot of her rose had looked a little the worse for wear; Garry makes sure to grab the vase from his side table before he sets out. He's only seen a skylight in the entryway, so that should be easy enough to find.]

All right. Stay there, okay? I haven't seen any... violent art here, so it should be safe.

[Ib nods and crouches down where she's standing to wait, hugging her knees. She keeps an eye out for anything unsavory coming her way but otherwise, stays still there.]

[It takes a little while for Garry to get there, because for reasons that had seemed valid at the time he had taken a room on the eighth floor. But he hurries as much as he can without running a serious risk of falling down the stairs, and it's not that long before he comes rushing out of the stairwell and into the entrance hall. And there's Ib, in person, not looking substantially worse off than when he'd last seen her through those stone vines.]

I'm so glad you're okay. Here...

[He sets the vase down on the tiles next to Ib, with a huge relieved smile. No amount of reassurance from the others that time elsewhere was frozen had been able to completely stop him from worrying, and even now he's still a little concerned about Mary, but this goes a long way towards improving his outlook on life in Wonderland.]

[Ib thanks Garry quietly and plunks her rose down into the vase. In a flash, it's better and so is she--her skinned knees are better and her coloring is better--and the vase is empty. Ib retrieves her rose and stands up to give Garry a hug.]

[ The network provides a pleasant background noise to the duke's work in his stable. Having just finished grooming his horses he takes particular note of a question peculiar to the ears of one accustomed to finding nothing as simple as simply letting Wonderland's magic conjure up such item.

He looks at the feed. Ah yes, suppose she wouldn't yet know. And yet, isn't the question made more peculiar still by being the first thought on a new arrival's mind? Of course there is a rather simple way to find out.

Buckingham leaves the stable room, and appears in the entrance hall moments later, a simple vase filled with water in his hand. ]

Will this one suffice, miss?

[Ib turns when Buckingham's approach. He's a stranger, but he has a vase and is also not coming out of a picture frame. Thus, her first instinct isn't to mistrust him, though she'll be sure to run away at the first sign of an unmarked, windowless van.

She nods in answer to his question and when he's close enough, she stands on her toes and places her wilting rose in the vase. In an instant, the rose has recovered and Ib is looking better too. The scrapes on her knees are gone and there's more color in her cheeks.]

Thank you.

[ There may be one or two unmarked horses in the vicinity, but they are yet out of the picture. Besides, contrary to any information found in the cartoon villain dictionary about his moustache, Buckingham has surprisingly firm believes about a certain minimum age requirement for anyone participating in his misdeeds on the receiving end. And the young miss does not quite qualify for the service, alas.

She does however do her part in making Buckingham very nearly drop the vase, when he witnesses its effect right in front of him. At least now the question itself is no longer the most peculiar thing about the girl by far.

Buckingham quirks an eyebrow. ]

I suppose that would explain why you were in such dire need of it.

[ He crouches and presents the vase to her. ]

Then I trust this will be better off in your hands.

[Ib takes the vase and pulls the flower out. The water's gone, but she still holds onto the vase.]

I can keep it?

But of course, miss, I insist!

[ He shoots for his best vase-gifting smile, but beyond that he hesitates. Sufficiently well-meaning as his intentions may be, there is a compelling reason why he tried to bury his infant self in the garden rather than keeping it by his side. ]

Might I ask, have you... been here long?

[ Reasonably certain as he is of the answer, perhaps he ought to make sure. ]

[Ib thanks him softly and makes sure the vase is safe on the floor nearby, just far enough away that she won't accidentally knock it down.]

No. I opened a door and came in here a little while ago. Is it your house?

[He looks fancy enough to own it.]

If by 'braid' you mean 'fashion into a glorious pompadour', then yes.

[The feed catches Tohru's eye right away, at first for the unique view of the skylight, and then because the face on the screen...that's a little girl, isn't it? Younger than Kisa even...]

A vase? Ah, other people might have said so already, but...if you go to any of the closets and ask, they'll give you almost anything you need. I'm sure you could get a vase that way.

[She can see her knees though, and that's admittedly a little more concerning to her than the vase.]

Ah, but, are you okay, miss? Do you need some bandages too? I can bring you some, if you'd like!

[For a second, Ib isn't sure why this girl would suggest bandages. Clearly she's been in the gallery for way too long.

After a moment, though, she nods.]

If a vase doesn't work, bandages would be good.

[If the vase doesn't work...? Tohru looks really confused for a second, but then decides she must have heard her wrong.]

Okay! I'll bring down some bandages downstairs right away! I'll see you soon, okay?

[Don't bother protesting - she's already on her way!]

[Ib nods and crouches on the floor, hugging her knees. She's a bit wary because who knows where crazy art might spring from? But she isn't jumpy. She's good at waiting.]

[About ten minutes later, there's quick footsteps rushing to the entrance hall. Not running because poor Tohru is clumsy, but going as quickly as she can. Someone's hurt after all! And she doesn't want to keep her waiting after all.]

Miss? Miss, are you okay? I brought you some bandages!

[And indeed, when she rushes closer, her arms are full of bandages and wraps and things - she wasn't sure what she would need and there wasn't really time to ask around, so she just grabbed whatever the closet would give her.]
