[ alayne is always nervous and fidgety when speaking through her looking mirror as she calls it; but today there is an extra frown on her brow that betrays her concern.
her manners, however, are as splendid as ever; she tidies down the blue silks she has found in her wardrobe and dips her head in greeting. ]
Good people of Wonderland,
[ the manners are there but her voice betrays a hint of urgency ]
There are those among you who have made by acquaintance. I seek those who have come to my aid before, those who I have met and have come to know in the duration of my stay in our Mansion. I have a request to make of you; I will be -- endlessly grateful if you shall hear my words, though I have little to offer you in return.
[ and she doesn't like this; does not like to ask for something she cannot repay for but she has little choice in this manner. ]
-- thank you.

OH SHUSH
[ but not for herself. and it is something I suspect you may do well, she wants to say but does not. is there aught more important than such? being a child of westeros, alayne values it above most other things. ]
You favor children. There are two here who are dear to one who is my friend. I wish for them to remain safe within these borders.
don't make me touch you gently, because i will... X(
[The more she explains, the more he understands. Ah, children!
Truth be told, he's Pan, and in the eyes of just about everyone, that's synonymous with being a selfish, demoniacal villain who favors no one but himself in times when a person could show kindness. He'd mislead Neverland's children for years, and for most of those years he'd also turned a deaf ear to a girl's pleas to protect her brothers from his own wickedness. No one and nothing, not even his own desire for companionship, had outweighed his desire for eternal life.
But that plot had fell apart along with Storybrooke. He doesn't yet have the leeway to be as selfish as he had then. Too soon, not enough aces up his sleeve.]
Oh, now I'm starting to see, you've got friends of a friend you want to look out for. That's big of you. Not a request for another escort, then. I wasn't sure what it'd be without any hints.
[Peter doesn't use the opportunity to refuse right away, either, though he's savvy to the way she takes what he's revealed about himself and uses it to fashion a snare to catch him if he should run away in a moment of unkindness.]
In all the time I've been here I don't think I've seen anyone go this far for other people they didn't really care for. Who are they? Not friends of yours? [As for his thoughts on the matter...] If you'd read my fairy tale, you'd know just how spot on you were! I like making friends my own age, myself. Adults... well. You know what that's like.
I am not afraid of gentle touching x(
[ that was sansa's prime mistake; thinking the world is as beautiful and wonderful as the stories and songs told. a foolish mistake of a foolish little girl who has won her much grief and while alayne pities sansa stark, she also does not wish to repeat her mistakes. ]
Their aunt is a lady I am in service of and of my realm; it is not your neverland. It is unkind to children. I know naught of Wonderland yet I know enough to suspect it capable of great dangers.
[ there is something about peter pan which drags the player out of alayne; the same thing littlefinger had tried to teach her to be. be a player or be a piece, the game of thrones will be player either way. ]
I did not read it. I only heard enough of it to know your name.
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.
[The "I believe" trick is, however, a very specific bit of magic that would take time to explain, and that's neither here nor there. Besides, that's something he might save for if they... get to know each other better.]
You'd be right about that, and not a place that favors anyone.
[No, not like Neverland at all, where there magic bowed to a certain type of person. This land is bit more fair that way. Adolescent or not, everyone gets swept up in the madness.
Peter still doesn't fire off a refusal. If she really knew the true Peter Pan, she wouldn't ask.]
And you're worried the both of you won't be enough to protect them?
x(!!
I am but four-and-ten and a young woman. My only way to aid them is to ask for others' help.
:'D
Even so...]
Don't sell yourself so short.
[Wanting to protect someone is motivation to do all sorts of things... Just like Wendy. She'd been only thirteen when she'd braved Neverland. Twice. She'd risen to the occasion when necessary, too, with acting skills almost as impressive as Sansa's.
Musingly, he returns to the heart of the issue.]
What about this aunt?
no subject
[ she reminds her so of Arya, it hurts more than it should. with both of them here, she ought to be happy yet all that alayne knows is that she is fated to lose them both at the end.
westeros will call her back and there she was alone. ]
Yet even the bold and the brave need assistance.
no subject
[But they're charming words, the girl's sentiment toward these dear friends of hers. He acknowledges her answer with a sound of thoughtful agreement.]
You can never tell what some people might expect of you in exchange, but obviously you know that and you're asking anyway. That's loyalty. Loyalty to your friends is a kind of bravery, you know. I admire that.
Any children related to this aunt of theirs sound like people worth meeting if they're half as outstanding. I can do it. I can keep an eye out. Who might they be?
