[ Robin doesn't use his device too terribly often; not because he doesn't understand how to use it - he's caught on well by now - but he'd still much prefer to speak with someone in person, unless of course they really only need to ask something briefly of each other. It serves a purpose, he won't deny that.

And today, he's decided to step outside of his comfort zone and deviate from how he normally conducts himself, posing a few questions and observations to anyone who might be listening.

He's in the dining room at the moment, giving some thought as to what he wants to eat, and his face is rather perfectly centered as he speaks. ]

Before my arrival here in Wonderland, I had a brief stay in a small village by the name of Storybrooke. Everyone frequented Granny's diner, so I presume the food was extraordinary there, but I regretfully didn't have much time to sample it all.

[ He thinks for a moment, trying to remember some of the menu items: ]

I enjoyed the burger I was able to try, and the grilled cheese.

I was curious about something called buffalo wings. Does anyone know much about the buffalo? It must be rather small, based on its wing structure.

[ He's familiar with chickens, and the meat that comprises burgers, but buffalo is something new to him. ]

I've come to understand there's a particular type of food unique to diners, and while this place isn't a diner in the strictest sense, we can certainly acquire any of the food normally found there. I'm not sure what I should try. Any suggestions?

Have you seen one up close? [ He's trying to imagine what this creature must look like, and he's just assuming it must a bit like a horse, probably bigger, based on the descriptions he's been given. ]

I take it to mean the standard of food at your Jersey Diner far exceeds that of other diners?

They've got them at the Bronx zoo, but they don't exactly come right up to the fence. So I've seen them once? Twice maybe? A few more times if you include the dead ones at the Natural History Museum.

And yeah, the Jersey Diner is a classic, you can't beat a classic.

The Bronx zoo? I've never heard of a zoo, actually. Are there many other animals there?

[ He can catch on quickly once it's all explained to him, but he spent such a short amount of time in the modern world before being brought to Wonderland that he hasn't heard of all these things before. ]

I'll be sure to try it if I get a chance.

You've never heard of a zoo? Where are you from? That's pretty much what a zoo is, a place to keep animals on display. Most of them are really shitty, they're like prisons for animals for our enjoyment, but a lot of the ones in big cities are really nice, super into giving them space and stuff. The Bronx Zoo is one of those, but the San Diego Zoo is the best. You can go and see all these animals in really good habitats and stuff where they breed them to keep species alive.

And you're probably not going to find a Jersey Diner here unless someone from the Jersey Shore is brought here or something and we all become guidos for a weekend. Wait 'till you get sent home and go take a trip to the worst place on earth with the best two AM pancakes.

That...sounds rather awful, if the animals are mistreated and not viewed with much respect at all.

[ He's frowning to himself, disturbed to hear that, since he has such a high regard for animals. ]

I'm from Sherwood Forest originally. Before ending up here in Wonderland, I was in Storybrooke, Maine for a short time.
