[ Robin doesn't use his device too terribly often; not because he doesn't understand how to use it - he's caught on well by now - but he'd still much prefer to speak with someone in person, unless of course they really only need to ask something briefly of each other. It serves a purpose, he won't deny that.

And today, he's decided to step outside of his comfort zone and deviate from how he normally conducts himself, posing a few questions and observations to anyone who might be listening.

He's in the dining room at the moment, giving some thought as to what he wants to eat, and his face is rather perfectly centered as he speaks. ]

Before my arrival here in Wonderland, I had a brief stay in a small village by the name of Storybrooke. Everyone frequented Granny's diner, so I presume the food was extraordinary there, but I regretfully didn't have much time to sample it all.

[ He thinks for a moment, trying to remember some of the menu items: ]

I enjoyed the burger I was able to try, and the grilled cheese.

I was curious about something called buffalo wings. Does anyone know much about the buffalo? It must be rather small, based on its wing structure.

[ He's familiar with chickens, and the meat that comprises burgers, but buffalo is something new to him. ]

I've come to understand there's a particular type of food unique to diners, and while this place isn't a diner in the strictest sense, we can certainly acquire any of the food normally found there. I'm not sure what I should try. Any suggestions?

[ cora doubts he does. unless he does own a nice pair of tights and enjoys singing about it, but she hasn't gotten to that question on her list just yet. ]

Depends. [ she tries to keep a straight face. ] You don't meet Achoo until you've broken out of jail with the help of Asneeze. [ but that's not important, even though it sounds like she's speaking about a medical condition. ] Do you have a servant named Blinkin?

[ This is certainly one of the more interesting conversations he's had here in Wonderland. Or, ever, really. ]

I've never had a servant, actually.

Might I ask where you're getting this information? Was it another book about me, or something else?

[ cora can't help but be disappointed. aside from robin himself, blinkin had been her favourite character from that particular retelling. ]

Film. Mel Brooks wrote a bit of a musical featuring you in tights. Cary Elwes did a good portrayal of you.

[ it rivals that of a fox portraying him, another retelling she quite likes, but doesn't wish to tell him for the sake of overwhelming him with an ego that may not fit wonderland. how many films and stories does robin hood have floating around about him? too many. ]

[ cora smiles. ] You've got the facial hair right. [ or cary did, but she prefers wording it that way. he seems way too calm for a man who steals from the rottinghams of his array of tales and gives to the poor. ]

That's encouraging.

Is this...film something we could see together?

[ He actually is pretty interested in it now, because he'd like to be a bit more aware when these references surface. ]

Well, I do try.

[ And there's a dimpled, slightly crooked smirk now. ]
