[A pair of large, tawny eyes fill the picture to start with. After a moment Cy shuffles back, revealing the scruffy face of a tabby. Her fur looks dirty and unkempt, and there's glimpse of something shiny beneath the fur on her forehead. Something metal.

She rolls over, kitten like in her appearance as well as her mannerisms. When she speaks she's cheerful, not seeming overly concerned about the unfamiliarity of her surroundings.]

Wow, Alice! You've taken a wrong turn this time. Down the rabbit hole you go.

My name's Cy. Cy for Sightseer. Cats don't belong down rabbit holes, you know. It's bad for business. Rabbits don't like us, see.

[She rolls back on her front, looking as though she's pondering this for a long moment before she speaks again, tongue swiping over her lips before she breaks her silence.]

I'm hungry.

[ooc: It would be super helpful if you could please fill out Cy's permissions if you tag her so I know whether I can use her powers or not.]

[She should know. She's pretty tiny herself. Totally ignoring that mental correction because shhhh, it's Billy. Billy suits him.]

Exactly. Everyone knows the fables in the old books where size isn't everything. Which is why I won't put it past him to beat me hands down if it comes to it.

Don't tell anyone I said that though.

The warehouse. [Her eyes widen, and she yowls high and loud.] The Alchemist! Hi ho, Silver! Look out!

[Cy skitters around in a tight, anxious circle then curls herself in a ball. She watches him from beneath a paw.]

I don't want to talk about it. Tell me where you came from.

[Nothing about that reaction is normal, but at least William is paying enough attention to know that talking about the "Alchemist" is a great big no go area. Fair enough.]

A place called Vega. It's a big city in America.

Wowee! [She still seems a little wary from her scare, but her curiosity's piqued.]

I've never been to America. You should take me there, Billy boy. I want to share the crocodile's tears.

[There's something a bit disheartening when it comes to a kitten being scared, so William is a bit thankful she's cheered up a little.]

Well, we can't get there from here. There's no way out of Wonderland that we know of. But uh, crocodile's tears?

They live there.

[She knows they do. She's been told.]

[Actually has to think about it. When one is raised in Vega, they don't get to leave the city and live behind walls that are two miles wide. William is lucky enough to have had the most expensive of educations, but he can't say he's been out of the surrounding areas much.]

Oh, you mean in Florida. There are alligators in the swamps in Florida. That place is probably overrun with them by now.

Florida! I'm going. They have nice teeth.

[Granted that's not exactly what Sealink said in her stories, but it's what she got out of it.]

[Who is he to deny a kitten their dream of Florida?]

They have big teeth, and if you get too close they might eat you. So when you go, try not to get too close okay?

I have big teeth too. You just can't see them here.

[That is a lot of confidence in such a small thing.]

I think they may have the bigger teeth, but that's okay. It's not down to that but how you use them anyway.

[She jumps forward and taps the lens smartly with one paw.] Got your nose! You need to keep your guard up. What if I'd got your whole face?
