This is a mess... Armin seems like he's doing better now, but...

[Not looking directly at the camera just yet, Eren takes a moment to finish up re-bandaging what's left of Armin's leg before turning to greet his audience. So as not to upset anyone with the sight of the gruesome wound (they've seen enough blood already over that last few weeks) he's careful to keep most of it out of view. Still, one can still catch a glimpse of Armin in the corner of the screen, fast asleep in a rather large, compfy-looking four poster bed. A sharp eye might be inclined to recognize it and the rest of the room as Integra's.]

To the people who helped out the other day- I think your names were Carlos and James? ...Thank you. I really owe you one. I mean it. If you ever need help with anything, just tell me and I'll be there.

[There's a lot more Eren could say on the matter, but in the end, he decides to leave it at that. He knows if he says much more, he'll end up getting too emotional.

After taking a deep breath, he forces himself to move on to the next order of business:]

So... Healing "magic." Is it true that there are people here who can do that? Can someone help my friend?

[As Eren watches Souji go, he gets a similar impression as Armin. It seems unfair that such a nice, helpful guy would be lonely though.

Perhaps is he didn't have Armin around, he'd have a lonely air about him too. He takes Armin's hand, brushing his thumb over the back of it softly.]

No, it's not your fault. It could never be your fault. It's their's - the Titans.

And Wonderland.

[Armin heaves a quiet sigh. He's still working through the guilt of Titans arriving in Wonderland at all, before he could find a solution to their imprisonment. Casualties were minimal, and he's glad that he was the one hurt, and not James, but... he certainly bit off more than he could chew. He wasn't ready for all the responsibility he put on himself.]

[He grips Eren's hand, and tugs a little, inviting him closer. He'd rather have the comfort of intimacy than hash over doubts he's already over-thinking. Save that for some other time, when he's feeling better.]

[The warmth of Armin's hand is a comfort. It means that he's still here, and ever since the accident, Eren's been feeling the need to constantly reassure himself of that fact. It's even gotten to the point where he's having trouble sleeping. What if Armin's gone when he wakes up?

Mindful of Armin's injury, Eren carefully sets himself down on the edge of the bed and leans in for a gentle hug.

He doesn't know what to say. He doesn't want to make Armin sad, but he doesn't want to downplay his loss by pretending it's not a big deal, either. In the end, it's easiest to convey his feelings through actions instead of words.]

Eren...

[Armin doesn't judge Eren in the least for his actions. He's been in his position plenty of times in the past; the only difference being that when Eren loses a limb, it grows back. But he's wanted nothing more than to hold him and never let go too, when he's laid in bed unconscious after a tough mission. Eren was just a sensitive enough creature (which he was, more than any of them) to actually go through with it.]

I'm okay. [He whispers, and snakes his arms up around Eren in return.] I feel much better. I promise.

[From the warmth of Armin's shoulder, Eren nods. It was an emotional impulse to reach out for Armin in such a way, but now that he's satisfied the urge, he's starting to calm down. His senses are coming back to him.]

Good. We both know I'm hopeless without you.

[He pulls away slightly, but only enough to properly see Armin face to face.]

Is there anything you want? Food? A book from the library? Something from your room?

Not right now. Maybe later. [Armin shakes his head, grip loosening, but still keeping hold of Eren in some way. He swallows around a lump in his throat.] Just... If you could stay nearby.

[He's probably going to have to be selfish in order to survive for some time, until he can walk on his own again. Might as well start getting practice as soon as he can.]

[It's not selfish if it's something they both want. As long as Eren can stay close to Armin, no request is too great.]

I'm here. For as long as you need me.

[He settles himself in.]

But you've got to try to get some more rest, okay?

I'm tired of being tired. [He manages the smallest of smiles as Eren cuddles up next to him-- his body is always wonderfully warm-- and turns his head to maintain eye contact.] I must've lost a lot of blood, to still be exhausted like this.

[He remembers what happened, and he doesn't. Panicked flashes of people's horrified faces, and unspeakable pain stand out sharply in his mind, but the details are more than fuzzy. Especially after he passed out on the cot in the med bay. Then it was just him lapsing in and out of consciousness until now.]

The more you sleep, the faster you'll feel better.

[He reaches a hand up to play with a strand of Armin's hair. Although he doesn't do it often, Eren has always enjoyed the sensation of touching the soft, golden locks.

...If Jean was still here, he'd probably tease him about it.]

But being stuck in bed for a while isn't so bad. We'll figure out a way to make it less boring. I'll look around the attic for something new and fun for us to mess with.

[Oh, but Eren, he's gross. He desperately needs a bath. But he doesn't complain, enjoying the affection even if he's grimy. When he blinks, he can feel his eyelashes brush up against Eren's fingers.]

Mmm. I'll have to be moved back to my room soon-- this bed is luxurious, but I don't want to impose on Integra. She's been kind enough to me already.

[They'd connected well, and Armin feels much closer to her now. He can see why Eren likes her so much.]

[Nope. Not gross to Eren. Armin could have bathed in a mud puddle and Eren would still enjoy this.]

YI don't think she'd mind.

[It's kind of nice having someone like her around. She's... surprisingly motherly. It's been a while since they've had that.]

But returning to your own room is nice too. It's yours, so it's got all of the stuff you like in it. And it's right next door to mine.

[Not that he sees himself sleeping anywhere but at Armin's bedside for a while...]

[She'd said some things to him that he'd never really heard before, and he appreciated it in a way she probably couldn't even understand. But he'd never forget it.]

There's something comforting about the barracks... [Since his room took a form similar to the dormitories they lived in when they were cadets, rather than his childhood room like Eren's did.] I'm not used to this finery.
