-land's influence on you. [ Good morning from the tired and faintly exasperated countenance of Robyn, who hastily replaces a wayward braid behind her ear before actually attending to the broadcast. She smiles wearily, clearing her throat before addressing the mansion. ]

Hello, Wonderland. In case we've yet to meet, my name is Robyn Cousland of the Gr- [ She cuts off momentarily to glance away, frowning, and speaks to someone or something off-camera. ] Stop. Sit.

[ There's a low whine, but she returns to the device with a satisfied, short sigh. ]

When I arrived, I... found, if it can be called that, a mabari - a Ferelden hound - in the wardrobe of my room. He isn't nearly as well-behaved as my own, unfortunately; he seems much younger, though I've just been thinking it might be because of the way that this place seems to affect us all. Though, luckily, we haven't all been taking little things from other people and hiding them away.

[ TALKING ABOUT YOU, OREN THE DOG. ]

Which... brings me to my point, which is that the dog has apparently been taking things that don't belong to him. Some of them have names written in them, some books, but most of these things have been difficult to return. I know for a fact that he confiscated possessions of an Emily Bennett, Evelyn O'Connell, and Cullen Rutherford. Also... [ At this, the Warden sifts through the pile as she speaks: ] Several boots, gloves, and gauntlets, mostly leather. A... necklace, I think, made of bone, a clay flower pot, some kind of- [ Maker's breath. She looks momentarily pained and spots of pink rise into the apples of her cheeks. ] Something... called Busty Asian Beauties, and several other things I've yet to identify.

[ The picture on the cover of that particular piece of reading material is overwhelmingly embarrassing and she hastens to end the broadcast. ]

Andraste's grace. Please stop by room thirty on the first floor if you've been missing something, or just tell me what you've lost and I will return it once I've made some sense of this mess.

Of course not. Maybe I can find something around here to trade with him.

[ bonnie herself moves to swing open the door before heading to the closet to see what kind of chew toy she can produce. ]

You don't need to do that. [ Though she does laugh lightly at the idea. ] He knows he's done wrong, he should return it and face the consequences.

[ ... She'll be giving him a lot of belly rubs when they get back, though, as a consolation prize. ]

I'll leave in just a moment.

Take your time! I'll be here for awhile.

[ also it's possible she's happy to wait just to meet new friends. especially if she gets to play fetch with one and call it a study break. ]

[ It isn't much longer that Robyn and her dog appear, walking down the hallway. The Warden offers a smile and a short wave; the dog trots alongside her, happy to be going on a small adventure. ]

Hello. [ She says politely, coming to a stop by the other woman's door. ] I hope I didn't keep you waiting.

[goeth]

[ she's about to confirm that this is robyn when the woman makes it clear it's so. bonnie shakes her head. ]

Not at all! Come on in. [ while the toy bonnie'd retrieved hangs awkwardly in her hand, she can't help but look out for the grimoire. ]

[heroica]

Thank you. [ And she does step inside, though just one or two steps. The dog, who wasn't allowed to stay alone in the room with his stolen goods, spies the toy and reacts immediately, sitting himself down nearly on Bonnie's feet in an attempt to charm his way into getting it from her. ]

Here you are. [ The Warden says, laying the grimoire down on a nearby surface where the mabari can't snatch it up again. ] Safe and sound.

[ bonnie wiggles the toy in her hand, eyes bright and smile lopsided. ]

So was that a solid no on the toy...?

[ he's just so cute and polite how can she resist?? ]

Oh-- [ Robyn hesitates, then admits a laugh, rubbing her dog's head. ] No, not at all. That is, yes, he's allowed to have it, and thank you for thinking of him after he's been misbehaving.

[ The mabari is all but vibrating with excitement, drooling a little, waiting impatiently for Bonnie to deposit the toy into his mouth. ]

Well, he's putting on a pretty good show, now. Does he have a name? And what's a Ferelden hound, anyway?

[ it sure had been clear from the name and sheer size of the guy that this wasn't your average fido, of course.

bonnie finally crouches down, and slowly extends the toy toward what is hopefully a new friend, wiggling it in the air. she even whispers a hello to him. ]

Hi good boy...

[heroica]

His name is Oren. [ She explains, smiling like a proud parent at this positive interaction between a Wonderland resident and her dog, since they aren't all so friendly. ] His breed is called 'mabari,' and they're bred for war in my home country. They're sort of seen as the symbol of all of us; we've been called 'dog lords' over and over again, though that's more of an insult than anything.

[ Whether it's true or otherwise, the people (Orlesians!!) who use it hardly mean it in a complimentary way.

The dog, meanwhile, is thrilled at the attention, but he won't snatch the toy out of her hand until it's closer to him than her. Then, he gingerly extracts it from her grasp before bounding down the hall with it and circling back, standing in front of her and depositing it at her feet enthusiastically.

"Fetch!!" ]

Your country's at war?

[ dutiful to her new bestie oren, bonnie picks up the toy and heaves it out into the hallway before standing up again. ]

I can't imagine what that must be like, but-- I think I'd be proud to have someone like Oren be my symbol...

[heroica]

Yes. [ Robyn answers, tilting her head slightly toward her shoulder in thought. ] That's what I've got to get back to, anyhow.

[ One day, this particular war will be over, if the others from Thedas are to be believed... ]

Well, then, you would be welcome in Ferelden. [ She says, almost glowing with pride at that, watching Oren tear down the hall to retrieve the toy. ] Not everyone shares your feelings.

[ Dorian, who she loves, doesn't like mabari at all. Some people are just... different. It's unfortunate. ]

[ they can gang up on dorian about it later (ง ͠° ͟ل͜ ͡°)ง ]

Well, Ferelden sounds pretty cool. If I ever accidentally world-hop over, I'll make sure I bring lots of chew toys.

[ bonnie steps to move the grimoire from the table to her bag, rummaging around to fit it in beside the other 3 already settled there. ]

You know, I was thinking about grabbing some coffee. I wouldn't mind a little company, if you'd like to come along. Maybe you could tell me more about your home?

[heroica]

[ yes good ]

If you ever accidentally... "world-hop," then I hope we cross paths. [ She laughs, amused, briefly imagining all of Wonderland's residents not from Thedas arriving suddenly in Ferelden. ] But if you have that attitude about mabari, you should be safe enough.

[ Unlike some other people (still Dorian). ]

Oh-- [ Robyn hesitates, then smiles after a pause. ] I... would, yes. So long as you really don't mind. And... Oren will have to come along, else I think he'll try and take back what I've been returning.

[ Maybe not, though, since Bonnie is treating him so well. ]

Uhh well-- we could get orders to go and let him romp around outside. Do you like lattes?

[ hope so because they are off to get a couple once bonnie hoists her bag onto her shoulder. ]

Do I like what? [ She asks curiously, following Bonnie once she starts off, with the dog pattering behind them both. ] As for Oren... I think it'd be better to let him come with us, if that's all right. He won't be any more trouble, I swear it.

[ Or she'll deny him head scratches and treats for a while!! ]

Lattes? You know, the coffee?

[ at first, she assumes that robyn hadn't heard her. bonnie walks loosely, hand hanging off the strap of her bag and talking as she peeks into rooms as they pass. you can take the teen out of high school... ]

[ The Warden shakes her head a little, still blinking curiously. ]

I've never heard of it. [ She admits. ] What kind of coffee is it?

[ oh. OH. ok backing up... ]
