Greetings. [ Comes the voice and face of Robyn Cousland, looking chipper enough for someone who has recently lost her three closest friends from Wonderland. Her hair is braided neatly and it's evident she's outside somewhere from the glare brought on by the sun high overhead. ] After my conscription, I picked up a few new skills here and there, but nothing in as much depth as I'd like. [ There just hadn't been time for thorough weapons training, not when you're responsible for the general welfare of a country. ] I think Wonderland may be a good chance to try that again.
I have extensive training in crossbow use and some in short and longbows, but I'd like to branch out to other areas. I learned a little with daggers and knives in Ferelden, but I'd also like to take up with a smaller sword and shield, at least, if anyone trained as a warrior has the time. [ beat ] I'm not a mage, so magic is out of the question, though I do know that that... works a little differently from world to world.
[ Nearby is the impatient huff of a horse and the Warden glances that way, smiling. ]
I'm going riding this morning, but I'd like to start training this afternoon, if I can. [ There's another thoughtful pause. ] It's paid to stay sharp, here, hasn't it?
[ Considering. There's a preemptive sort of inhale, and then she vanishes from the network. ]

I've had a lot of experience with swordplay, if you're looking for an instructor. Although-- nighttime might be better, unless you're willing to work indoors.
[For reasons. Don't worry about it.]
I am. Looking, that is. [ The time-related request only has her smile politely. ] Nighttime or indoors are fine with me, whichever you prefer. You're doing me a favor, not the other way 'round.

[He spars with Faith sometimes, but that's always hand-to-hand. Practicing his swordplay has always been a solo activity. He could use a partner.]
I haven't had a lot of opportunities to practice lately. Teaching someone else will help keep me from getting rusty. We can't really afford that here, after all.
[ Most people must feel that way, mustn't they? That it's better to stay sharp here than to let your guard down? With all that's happened... with people having died... ]
Just name the time and place.

[ Robyn grins in return, then offers a little laugh. ]
Are you free, Isabela?

[ She smiles at Robyn. ]
For you Kitten, I'm always free.

[Alistair grins, relieved to see Robyn looking so well and refusing to let... everything that's happened drag her down.]
I hear he's not bad at it. Of course, I don't how good a teacher he is but he's always willing to help a friend. And might not mind learning a thing or two in return.
[It's not a bad idea to expand their skills beyond what they learned in Ferelden. She could teach him a thing or two for sure - maybe not archery, he's not sure he trusts himself to be flinging pointy things around - but there's other skills to share. Riding for one. He knows how to care for horses but actually riding them? Not so much.]

[ Thank the Maker he's still here, at least. Not everyone from Thedas that she'd befriended had vanished, though it had sometimes felt that way. ]
But... Oghren isn't here, is he? And he used axes, mostly... [ She puts a finger to her chin in mock-thought. ] Did he arrive when I wasn't looking?
[ Even in this joke, Robyn isn't sure there's anything she could teach the dwarf that he'd be interested in learning. ]
video
[Maybe she's been in Wonderland too long if she's managed to forget the dwarf's stench. If she's (un)lucky Wonderland will decide to bring him in to remind her.]
You know I was talking about Purrlock. He's a fearsome warrior kitty! None can match his skill with a blade! He can teach you everything you need to know.
[And he's almost the same size as her too. The perfect opponent!]
video
[ She chuckles lightly, but then it evolves into a surprise laugh as he explains. ]
Of course. Purrlock. [ Still not over that name, Alistair. ] I hope you haven't really been letting that animal near any weapons. He could get hurt!
[ You monster!! ]

[Peter wonders if he shouldn't learn though. It's not like it's easy to be up close and personal with some of the monsters that they've got around. Granted, he's also got his webbing, but what happens when that runs out?
It's not like he can run to Oscorp to buy it, and it doesn't exactly come out readily from the closets.]
I mostly do hand to hand. ...Stuff.

[ She cracks a smile at his wording. ]
Re: video
[He smiles back] But uh, you could teach me weapon stuff, and I could try to teach you the rest?

I'm not as experienced with sword and shield, but I can probably teach you a little with daggers and knives. Or some other fighting styles you might not have where you come from. If you're still looking for instructors, that is?

[ People in Wonderland are certainly friendlier than much of the strangers they'd run into throughout Ferelden. In some ways. ]

Are you familiar with where the Training Center is on the first floor?

If you want more training with bows, I'm pretty good. [ Or really good, the best in his world he might dare to say. ]
I've been trying to set up a range down by the beach, the one that had been there was in pretty bad shape.

[ Whatever kind of bow you use, an archery range is a helpful resource. ]
