Greetings. [ Comes the voice and face of Robyn Cousland, looking chipper enough for someone who has recently lost her three closest friends from Wonderland. Her hair is braided neatly and it's evident she's outside somewhere from the glare brought on by the sun high overhead. ] After my conscription, I picked up a few new skills here and there, but nothing in as much depth as I'd like. [ There just hadn't been time for thorough weapons training, not when you're responsible for the general welfare of a country. ] I think Wonderland may be a good chance to try that again.

I have extensive training in crossbow use and some in short and longbows, but I'd like to branch out to other areas. I learned a little with daggers and knives in Ferelden, but I'd also like to take up with a smaller sword and shield, at least, if anyone trained as a warrior has the time. [ beat ] I'm not a mage, so magic is out of the question, though I do know that that... works a little differently from world to world.

[ Nearby is the impatient huff of a horse and the Warden glances that way, smiling. ]

I'm going riding this morning, but I'd like to start training this afternoon, if I can. [ There's another thoughtful pause. ] It's paid to stay sharp, here, hasn't it?

[ Considering. There's a preemptive sort of inhale, and then she vanishes from the network. ]

Please. [ And with a smile, Robyn ends the call in order to head up to meet Isabela. ]

[ Isabela reached the training room first finding it surprisingly empty. She took out and activated the training drones like Tony had showed her even if she still had no idea how they worked and let them hover around as she waited for Robyn to show up. ]

[ And show she does, knocking lightly before entering. ]

Hello, Isabela. [ Robyn looks from the pirate to the drones, eyebrows raising. ] And... these must be the dummies you mentioned?

[ She looks up and smiles at Robyn. ] Hello, Kitten.

These are them. Strange things, but useful. [ She nudged in and it hovered over to Robyn but did not engage. ]

They act on their own, then? [ It makes her think of Shale, of golems and control rods. ] ... Are you sure it's all right for us to engage them?

[ivehadbetter]

[ Isabela nods. ] They do. He tried to explain it to me but it got boring. Much more fun to just accept they work and play with them. It's perfectly fine, I assure you. They will float around and evade attacks just as if they were real people.

[heroica]

All right, then. [ Robyn concedes, withdrawing her crossbow. ] Show me how it's done, and I'll follow after.

[ Isabela unsheathed her blades and sent one of the flying robots into offensive mode. She dodged and evaded finally coming up behind it to take it out all without even breaking a sweat. Graceful like the duelist she was trained to be. ]

See, not so hard.

[ In turn, Robyn watches, enthused, and then makes moves of her own. The Warden is quick, as a rogue, slipping around the dummy's offenses and firing bolts into them as quickly as she can. When one approaches, before she can reload her weapon, she whips out a dagger and slices into it that way, instead. ]

You're right. [ She breathes, grinning. ] And it's good practice to stay sharp.
