[A young girl's face appears on the video feed, looking ever so slightly confused and concerned. Appearing on a public network in front of everyone is also giving her just a bit of stage fright, but they're not actually there in front of her, so it's not that bad. Besides, she has some questions that need answering.]

Hey, so... I can't help but notice that the mansion I've been staying in is gone? And also that... so are a lot of other people, it seems like. Unless there's another party somewhere I don't know about.

I was going to see if anyone had said anything about it, when I noticed I can make posts here all of a sudden, so I figured I'd ask... um...

Am I going to be living here now? Should I find a room? Is there anyone I need to talk to, or can I just... take one?

[Wow, he just saw straight through her, huh.]

It's just a little weird. You don't need to do anything to make up for it, though. I don't even know how you'd go about making up for something like that. Not that you'd need to anyway, since it's not your fault!

[He sighs a bit. While yes, she's right, and it's not his fault, he still feels responsible because, well. It was his mirror that attacked her, for whatever unfathomable reason he decided to.]

I suppose you're right- [He goes to say her name, but realizes he doesn't know it.] I'm sorry, I don't know what to call you. However, for what it is worth? I'm sorry that he attacked you. I don't know why he did, but he was wrong. You seem like a sweet girl and you didn't deserve his hostility.

[He leans back from the camera, shaking his head.]

If you want, I can hang up now. Seeing someone's face after something like that can be pretty jarring.

[He understands that problem intimately, seeing as he can't quite look Frisk or Max in the eyes now.]

He said he was some kind of human eradication robot, I think? Something like that. Then he just... transformed into some combat form and started shooting at me.

[...Connie kind of wants to ask if that's something this Mettaton can do too, if he was also built for that, but. That seems like it'd be incredibly rude.]

No, I'm fine! Just ignoring it isn't really going to make it go away, right?

...Although, we might not have that much to talk about right now anyway? I dunno.

[If Mettaton had temples, he'd be rubbing them in exasperation right now.]

[Of course his Mirror switched to that to attack her. Of course.

Listen Connie, Mettaton is AMAZING at ignoring things that bother him. It is clearly the best way to deal with things, right? Right.]

I suppose, though with time we may have more to speak of.

[He doubts she'd be joining his fan club any time soon though.]

I mean, I'm mostly trying to focus on getting set up here, I guess! So uh... if you have any advice, that'd be nice?

[...She maybe kind of hopes he doesn't. She doesn't want to force him away or anything, and sure, she said she shouldn't ignore it, but... that doesn't make it any less tempting of an option, especially if she can use a good excuse like not having anything to talk about.]

[He can tell she's uncomfortable; being a successful star means being able to read people, and Connie reads as wanting to end the conversation but too polite to do so. He'll help it along, he thinks, and then get out of her hair.]

Well, I already mentioned claiming a room. In those rooms are the closets, which will give you anything you ask it for, so long as it's not something specific from home. You don't need to worry about food, since the kitchens are like the closets in how they'll give you anything you want so long as it's edible. That will help you settle in since that covers the basics.

[He gives a reassuring smile.]

Anything more specific than that, I'm sure you can find people to ask who can clear things up.

[He'd offer himself as an option, but he knows she'd never take it.]

I don't think I have any more questions now, so I guess I'll go work on getting settled, then?
