Um, h-hello... For those who don't know or who forgot me, my name is Mikan Tsumiki. I really hope we can all get a-along for a while.

I debated about saying this, but, I figured, it was better to be safe than sorry. There's a girl here from my world... her name's Ryoko. She's very nice! But now that there's two of us here, I was wondering... could that increase the odds of an event based on our memories? I-It seems to happen to a lot of people.

So, um! With that said! If you suddenly have memories of belonging to Hope's Peak Academy, it's not real!

... And if we wind up on an island where a black and white bear tries to make us kill each other in order to escape, please don't do that!

Four people d-died...

[Into the notebook it goes. Might not've been the best idea, but well..it's there now. Can't do anything about that. Honestly, it was more of a reflex than anything else while her brain tries to make sense of the facts she's learned today:

-A black and white bear named Monokuma somehow kidnapped an entire HPA class.
-They ended up on a tropical island where they were forced to kill each other.
-Four of them died.

This couldn't have less to do with her, and yet, she writes it down anyway. And for the record, writing it down didn't help with making it make more sense. It still sounds impossible, more the plot of a late night anime or a video game than something that actually happened. And yet...it did apparently.]

I'm sorry.

[She's not entirely sure what you say to someone who's had four classmates die because of some weird bear thing, but that seems like it might work.]

No one should have to go through something like that.

[She really means that because what the hell. And that's something she'll stand by for as long as she can remember it. No one should have to deal with kidnapping bears and murder islands. That shouldn't have anything to do with anyone!]

[She hasn't tried to think about her dead classmates in a while, but now that she's openly speaking about it, it's like wounds opening up. It hadn't been fair, none of it had been fair. The tears come and come, and she tries to stop them to no avail.

And if she ever gets back... Will she be next?]

I can't go back there... I d-don't care if Wonderland keeps me forever and ever, I can't go back! When we die there, it's for real!

[She should probably try and say something or do something or just try and be comforting. But she's not sure what people say in this situation. She's never had to do this, and even if she had, she wouldn't remember it. Still, she should give it a shot.]

Um, if that's what's happening, I hope you don't go back either. But if you do...maybe when I go back I won't remember that people don't remember Wonderland, and I could try and get someone to help you?

[...Ryoko, it doesn't work that way.]

[but people can't remember, she almost says... but... what if her journal does? Is it really impossible? Can she hold onto a shred of hope?]

Th-thank you! I would appreciate any effort! I'm sure... I'm sure the Japanese government can take on Monokuma and all his beasts!

I'm going to write it down right now. In fact, I'll put it back here with my notes from before Wonderland too. Just in case.

[Wait, it has beasts too. What is this?

She'd ask, but she wants to make sure she gets this down before she forgets. And while she's writing it on those old pages, something gives her pause. There's a phrase here, and she wonders if it could maybe possibly have anything to do with it.]

...this might be a strange question, but do you think the Parade has anything to do with it? Matsuda-kun said they wouldn't attack Super High School Level students, but if they got mad enough...

[...they'd get a bear and make a bunch of students kill each other? No, that doesn't sound right. She regrets asking now, but hey, it's the only idea she has.]

I... I don't know anything about a parade.

[She'll try and summarize while she reads. Thank goodness Matsuda made her write this all down!]

I don't know if you know this, but Hope's Peak is technically two schools. There's the Main Course for talented students, like us, and the Reserve Course for students who weren't chosen as SHSLs. Right before I got here, they've been protesting about...something. And it's called the Parade because...I don't actually know why. Matsuda-kun just told me that's what it was called.

[Whatever it is has nothing to do with her.]

But I think your class must've been from after mine, and if it wasn't on the news or anything before that bear kidnapped you, then it must've all been resolved.

[Or so she thinks anyway.]

Who weren't chosen as SHSLs...

[Is that why Hinata Hajime was there? The boy with "no talent"...?]

I... I still never heard anything about that, especially nothing about protests! I h-hope it got resolved peacefully, I want to get along with everyone at school.

[There's a few options here. She could explain more about the Reserve Course (not a bad idea), she could turn the pages of her notebook to check for more information (the absolute worst idea), or she could simply say something like...]

I'm sure you will! We just have to get you away from that bear first!

[Someone'll figure something out. She's sure.]

I might not remember much about the other students or...anything really, but I'm sure you'd fit right in and get along with a bunch of them.

[..or maybe not going off the students Ryoko's met. But there's bound to be other ones who are nice! Probably.]

Th-thank you... Um... I-I'm sure the survivors would like you too! They're very nice! They were my first friends... and... I want to see them all again, even if they have to come to this place... And Wonderland is safe, in its own way!

You know, I'd think I'd like to meet them too! Um, but if they do show up, you'd have to tell me since I might forget to write it down if they tell me.

[Introductions always have so much information and she doesn't always get everything.]

Should I wait until they arrive to tell you about them...?

It's up to you. I just might need you to tell me again later on.

[Giving this some thought... idea!]

Um! I have journals that I write in... W-what if I wrote down everything I know about them and give it to you later? Then you could have your own little reference, and I can make sure I didn't miss anything.

[since she tends to... derail... when talking]

I can copy those and then give them back. I wouldn't want your journal to be missing anything.
