-3° - Should Old Acquaintance Be Forgot

[The feed comes to life and Leonard's sitting in his room, mostly illuminated by candle-light, which does soften the still visible bruises (as a result of this) on his face a little. He's playing with a lighter in one hand, turning it, palming it and flipping it open and shut, but never actually lighting it.

Mostly he looks at the camera, both eye by now able to open fully again.]

Time doesn't really seem to do much in the way of passing here, but things happen anyway. So, guess this is still a worthwhile question.

You got any resolutions?

[Which of course also begs the question whether he has any himself. He looks as if he wants to keep talking at first, but his mouth stays shut and he looks off past the camera, the flame of a candle reflected in his eyes. Finally he cuts off the video.]

No, he's built like a brick wall.

[Come on. Sure, Leonard has a slight frame, but he can handle himself in a fight.

In this case he might not have been fighting back much, but still. Needs some strength to leave bruises like that.]

I'm guessing it was a personal matter and not something the rest of us need to be watching over our shoulders for? [ Most people in Wonderland were pretty good at giving the rest of the residents a head's up if there was someone they all needed to be worried about. ] Did it help?

Personal. Doesn't concern anyone else. [Some people might have found it strange that he asks like that, but it did help. Helped with keeping it contained, for at least diffusing some of the immediate anger. Not making it better, but at least some outlet. Changing it to something a little less likely to blow up in everyone's face.]

Hope so. What's your resolution then, show more concern for your fellow men?

Nah, I figure I do that plenty. Bartender's prerogative or something like that. I haven't figured out a resolution yet, I guess. Wonderland's just sort of been a perpetual resolution for me in general.

[ Does that even count? ]

What kinda resolve would that be? 'I might wake up and be a cat tomorrow, but I'll enjoy it.'?

[A small pause, then he moves his hand a little.]

Not the worst idea.

[Meanwhile, Leonard Snart (King of One-Liners), just sits there with a grin.

This is why he ends up bruised. Not really, but would anyone be surprised?]

Maybe my resolution should be to stop talking to you, so I stop ending up in conversations like this. [Please, Cisco. Like any kind of not-talking-resolution is one you could ever stick to, no matter what shape it takes.]

That's a good idea, but I don't think you'd ever miss a chance to put your foot in your mouth. Metaphorically.

You're not helping. Thanks. [He's so lackluster in that response, maybe because some small (and stupid) part of him wants to think if they can both tag-team insult him, it'll make some piece of their...issues....a little better.

It's stupid, really, that line of thought, and he knows it. It's a young and naive way of thinking that he usually doesn't hold onto. He doesn't know the full story, but he knows enough. And even if they're kind of terrible people, they're best friends and they deserve to have that patched back up somehow. Even if he knows, logically, this means nothing.]

Only you can help yourself with these kind of issues. Be honest. Admit you're a weirdy who digs animal-people and embrace it.

Look on the bright side. We have at least two talking animals in Wonderland now, which is probably two more than most worlds. You have your opportunity to explore a whole lotta new things.
