[what's up it's just eleven chillin' in her cozy basement room. she's sitting on the couch in front of a coffee table where there are some d&d miniature figures and whatnot.]

I met people like me here. Are there more? [she turns her attention to the miniatures, and they levitate off the table, then go flying sideways into the wall.]

I want to meet more people like me. I thought I was alone.

They're human? [she frowns and keeps flipping through the book, hoping to see a dragon but also ... not really knowing what she's looking for in the first place.]

I can't show you how that happens, but...

[ He goes to Maleficent's story, and there's a woman, a pretty woman, dressed in purple with horns on her head and holding a staff. And on the next page, she's transforming into a large, black dragon with a dark purple underbelly.

His grandpa is also trying to shove a giant egg down her throat but. Whatever. ]

I can show you other things, though. Do you like any certain kind of candy?

[ oh wow. she stares at the pictures in the book for a moment, thinking about how the dragon is vaguely sort of similar to the demogorgon (but not really) only to be distracted by more food talk.

she shakes her head, but then thinks to clarify] I don't know what candy is.

[henrydaniel]

Oh man, what? Okay. I'm gonna show you something I can do now, okay?

[ With that word of warning, he holds out his hand and a poof of purple and gold smoke swirls around before dissipating and showing a candy bar in his palm. It's a Twix, and he unwraps it, giving one stick to her and keeping one for himself. ]

There's all kinds of candy, more than you can imagine, but this is one of the best ones.

[ He takes a bite, to show it's okay. ]

[she takes the stick, taking one tentative bite and then basically swallowing it down like she did the cookie. it's like the cookie, very sweet, but ... different??? and so good. omg.]

It's very good. How did — you make food, like the kitchen?

[henrydaniel]

Good.

[ He smiles, because he's really glad she likes the candy, and maybe he'll just start leaving more for her in the fort, even when she's not here. ]

I guess I am kind of like the kitchen. Only I can do it back home, too. In my world, it's just called magic. And it's not just food.

[ Another poof, and suddenly there's a new book in his hands, Holes, which is one of his favorites. ]

[she looks down at the newly existent book, curious.] What's Holes?

[henrydaniel]

It's a really good book, about a kid who goes to...well...kind of like a prison I guess, but there's buried treasure, and a really good love story. You should read it.

[ Henry's excited about it, then clears his throat and tries to reign it in. ]

Sometimes I just like to read stories that have nothing to do with anything in my life so I can pretend I'm somewhere else.
