[Newt has certainly gotten much better with the device technology since his arrival. No fumbling, no odd framing this time. Instead he's trying to be rather professional as the camera comes on to send out the broadcast.]
Greetings, Wonderland and a good day to you. After the recent event with the space station, I found myself still in possession of a rather delightful creatures called a pyjack. I can't help but be curious if I'm the only one that found myself housing a space creatures.
Actually I'm curious about any creatures any might be caring for here in Wonderland. It is rather my area of expertise and I'm curious if any would be willing to let me observe and study their pets and creatures that I might continue my work here. Thank any and all for even considering this.
Which leads me to my second point today. In studying my pyjack, I've learned that they, or at least this one, seems to have a desire for obtaining bits and pieces of technology. I've no idea what most of them go to not having a knowledge of what most consider modern and advanced technology. If you're missing anything of the sort, there will be a basket outside of 926 on the ninth floor. I do apologize ahead of time, and please feel free to let me know if you are missing anything and I can try and check around for things.
Again, thank you all for your time.

I dunno. They say it a lot though.
[Which might have to do more with what people think of Bucky, and his past after Fitz went around telling everyone the dangerous winter soldier was in town.]
Never had any pets before her. Couldn't afford to take care of one when I was a kid. Then, well, it wasn't the 30's anymore and I didn't have the time. [Wonderland was good for that, time. It was a little more complicated than that, but he didn't think Newt would appreciate a stranger dropping his past on him so suddenly.] Now I do.
She makes me feel better, if that makes any sense.
no subject
Well, I certainly don't think that. You wouldn't have met with me about this, for one, if you truly were harming the creature.
[Who would take the chance of someone learning about it, after all?
Newt blinks though, his attention going from Sugar to Bucky in a single word.]
The 30's? As in the 1930's? You're... in your time it was the 1930's?
[He can't help but be excited by this. Anyone he's met that wasn't definitely from a more modern time had been from worlds not keeping the same time.]
I apologize. This is about Sugar and you. I just... it was 1926 when they brought me here. I was in New York at the time.
no subject
That's alright. I wanna talk about it.
[Sugar was doing just fine and he gets that learning about someone else means give and take in a conversation.]
I was born in 1917, March. I was a kid during the onset of the 30's, joined the war during the 40's. [Bucky does the math. He would've been nine in '26.] But, I uh, I came here from 2016. I'm pretty old.
[He says it with a hint of a smile.]
Just had my hundredth.

I was born in 1897. [He pauses, frowning.] This war? Who was it with? I knew of a war before I came here, but it was amongst those in my part of the world. Most outside of it never knew.
[Arching a brow when he comments about his age.]
Well, I can't say you don't look fantastic for your age. I've known some to live that long, but it's a strong magic that most can't do. Is it rude to ask about how?
no subject
World War II. It ended in '45.
[Most of that time is a blur, twisted up memories of fighting and what Hydra had done to him, but everything before was mostly pleasant. Growing up, a simpler life.]
It's not rude. They did experiments on people, tried making them into super soldiers. Something they gave me and a cryochamber off and on over seventy years kept me looking younger than I am. [The specifics, he can't say for sure, but he knows it's got a lot to do with that.] How'd the people you know stay alive so long?
no subject
I suppose eventually I'll return and we will likely do the same. I hope.
{It saddens him though to know there will be another war like that, and hating the idea of how much worse things may be this time.
Though as Bucky explains what happened to him, Newt can't hide his shock and pain.]
Oh. Oh. I'm so sorry. I just can't even imagine. Oh that's horrible.
[It takes him a moment, having a hard time to get beyond what he's been through.]
The most infamous one was a stone, enchanted, and it kept him alive for as long as I can remember. He's still alive for all I know.
no subject
What does muggle mean?
[Bucky reaches out to rub the top of Sugar's head, eyes cast down so he doesn't have to quite meet Newt's. He appreciates that he sympathizes, but the details aren't exactly easy to digest and Bucky doesn't want to put that on anybody else's shoulders.]
Enchanted? Like magic? [He cants his head to the side, intrigued. There's been instances back home, enhanced humans and aliens, but nothing that he'd qualify as enchanted or magical. Not like something out of a book.] Can you do magic?
no subject
Talking about his magic is easy these days, seeing no reason to hide the things he knows when no one will remember them when they leave. That doesn't change that he uses words not known by all.]
My apologies. It's a term for the non magical world. My world is a magical one, though separate from the world of the nonmagical. For our protection in some cases. For their protection in others. I can't say all in our world are safe to all, though most are like myself. We just want everyone to be able to live in peace.
[Sadly he knows that may never be possible, though he's found some semblance of it in Wonderland, oddly enough.]
So yes, very much like magic. [Ducking his head then, smiling as he admits it though it's sometimes hard to make admissions directly rather than just using them.] I was born to a magical family, and I went to a school that teaches magic.
