[The door Dipper and Mabel are standing in front of might be familiar to people who have been here for a long time, or who are fond of walking around on the fourth floor and looking at doors. It reads Angel's Investigations. It's closed, and has been for a while. But the twins look excited.]

Hey, everyone! Dipper and Mabel, the last staff standing of Angel's Investigations here. As you may know by now, Angel and Faith are gone, leaving us in charge. We've been working on the best way to use the space for a little while now, and we're finally ready to open the doors of the new Angel's Investigations to the public!

[Mabel pulls a handful of confetti out of her pockets and throws it up in the air.] Boom! [And it falls back down, giving them both a nice smattering of confetti on their heads and shoulders. Yaaay.] We thought about changing the name, but we figured it would be disrespectful to Angel’s legacy and also Cordelia’s logo, which totally does look like a little old man with whiskers.

[SORRY CORDELIA, BUT WHAT HAS BEEN SEEN CAN NEVER BE UNSEEN.

Dipper brushes confetti from his hair, then pushes open the door, revealing the office.

It looks a lot like it used to, the old hotel lobby feeling is still there, but there are several bookcases shoved up against walls, as well as several large conspiracy boards, white boards, and a projector.

Dipper beams as he walks in, panning the camera over all the additions.]

We're still investigating, but what we're specifically investigating is the Mysteries of Wonderland. I know, I know, who isn't doing that, right? But what we're specifically doing is consolidating research. I've made copies of all the notes in the library and started to try and organize it. It's… a process. But I think we might really be able to make some headway if we all work together!

[Mabel walks over to the desk chair and flops down on it, giving it a good spin.] So when stuff doesn’t add up or if you find some weird new clue about Wonderland, you can bring it to us, and Dipper’ll put it up on his mystery board, so we can all stare at it. [She stands up in the chair, which seems very dangerous, and gesticulates wildly.] Ooooh. So mysterious. So. Many. Questions~

Mabel! [Take this seriously Mabel, oh my god. Dipper shoots her a glare.] So. Uh. Yeah! Come on down. We're here to clue in the clueless!

What happened to the White Rabbit?! [Mabel holds up a rough draft sketch of one page of her NEW AND IMPROVED INFORMATION PAMPHLET that just has a white rabbit in a suit coat with question marks surrounding him and little captions like "HAS HIS TIME FINALLY RUN OUT??" underneath.]

[Dipper can... answer the other part of that. Mabel has her priorities.

I've looked back some, but... there's really a lot. I've been here two years and still haven't catalogued everything.

What? Nothing that I kno... Oh no. Not that sort. Such as worms in the soil, or gulls on the beach. Such as I would expect to find. There are bees, which could explain a lot of the beautifully designed lands, but there's other things missing I would expect.

[He looks properly contrite for worrying Mabel about the Rabbit.]

I just learned this was something one could even do. How wonderful of you to be doing such research.

I think those bees belong to someone, actually. [she will never stop worrying about the White Rabbit. it haunts her dreams.]

[Dipper has paid attention to a lot of things about Wonderland, but not the bees. He looks at Mabel, raising his eyebrows.]

What, like someone got them out of the closet?

[With Mabel's comment, Newt nods.]

I believe they do. At the least there is a hive that is manmade for them and not such as one would see in the wild. Hence why it's interesting to me. Where are the ones that should be here pollinating the lands?

[and suddenly a new problem opens itself up before Mabel's imaginative mind.] What does Bill the Lizard eat if there aren't any bugs?

Maybe he gets bugs out of the closet? [Dipper shrugs a shoulder.] I don't think the normal laws apply here. Everything's magic, you know?

Bill the who and what?

[Oh but he is definitely learning new things, and the wide eyed expression and way he leans closer to the device may show he's interested.]

I would assume that the dining room would provide for anyone as it does us. Just because it's something different than what we might eat, I doubt that confounds whatever magic that is.

You haven't met Bill the Lizard yet? He's so great though! He has a funny accent and he does construction work around Wonderland. He's my favorite Wonderland native besides Alice.

I've not met either, to be honest. I did have a short talk with the dormouse, though he didn't stay awake for long. It was interesting though.

Alice... you've spoken with her as well?

The cat's in the top ten, but he doesn't really contribute anything to the community. And Bill's underappreciated.

[she has to look out for the underdog! or the under-reptile in his case. she turns her focus back to Newt with glee.] Alice and I are pretty close. We've had tea parties and everything.

[or as close as one can be to Alice.]

We're friends too. But I think she likes Mabel better. [Most people do.]

How did you too manage to make friends with those in charge? Just speaking to them when they talk about upcoming events?

I tried speaking with the dormouse but that was charming but not very informative.

I don't think Alice is really in charge- not like the Queens or some of the other residents, even if she does announce stuff. She was like us once, so that helped a lot. We just treated her like we'd treat anyone here whenever she shows up.

The dormouse is more informative if you can wake him up. And I'm not sure any of the residences are in charge in charge. I mean the Queen's in charge of the Mirrors, definitely, but she doesn't seem to have any power over us or Wonderland itself.

Possibly control over events. I haven't figured that one out for sure yet.

If the stories I've heard are true, I doubt she is. Unless she lost her eyes in an attempt to disable to her so someone else could take over. Some days I'm not sure anyone is in charge. Not the same person all the time, at least.

It feels sometimes that it's as much a free for all for the townsfolk here as it is for us. Speaking to this side of the mirrors, at least. I can't much speak for the other side.

The Queen of Hearts definitely rules on that side. She's all the Mirrors talk about. And then there's the White Queen...

[Mabel hasn't quite gotten over last Christmas and that creepy dream Wonderland.]

We don't know where she is now. Just that if she ever tries to take over, we don't want to let her.

There's a Queen here? Why is it not assumed that she is in charge just as the Queen is on the other side of the mirrors?

Well certainly if the mirrors are anything like they seem. We certainly wouldn't want her in rule here.

Technically, there's two. The Red Queen was here for awhile, and we all sort of assumed she was in charge over here, but then she got into a fight with the Jabberwocky. That was awhile ago.

And last Christmas, we saw what it would be like if the White Queen ruled over regular Wonderland. It was... super not great.
