[ on what must be one of the first days of relative peace, a feed opens to present a newcomer. Leia is dressed as she normally would, all in white, collar high. The clothes she came with have been tossed away but there is nothing she can do about the ugly bruise on her neck, circular, red. it would turn to purple in a few days and is a dead giveaway for a collar of metal that bit into her skin until very recently.

her palms tell a story too, skin peeling at places, red and irritated from when she pulled on metal. However, it'd be difficult to pass her for the slave girl whose part she'd been forced to play. There's an air of authority to her even now.

Oh, and there's the blaster she tucks just beneath her belt, a touch of black on an otherwise white palette. ]

Well, this is rich.

[ biting with just a hint of sass but then, she seems to realize her message is finally being sent. ]

I see no practical reason for so much technology when we all live in the same cell.

[ this is what she calls this, a cell. A prison is a prison, vast as it may be. ]

But if you hear my message, know I mean you no harm. I understand I've come in a time of great peril [ somehow, she senses it in the very air around the halls ]. My own world is in great peril as well, it is urgent that they'll receive any help available if they're to see our mission done.

[ a beat. ]

We share the same predicament, I ask that we share information as well. If there is anything worth knowing about this system, I'd hear it and if any assistance is needed, I will supply.

I think most agree with that idea. I'm of the mind they should have gone through our worlds seeking volunteers. I suspect many would have. Either forever, or a short stint as some seem to serve here.

[It's a theory he finds sad those in charge haven't used. He does believe many would. He would have for a short period, and it trying to make the best of it, after all.]

All I can. My world is a certain way, and of a time that is less technological advanced than others. Being here was not a choice, but how I spend my time is. So I'm learning what I can of others and their worlds. The good, the bad, all of it.

I suppose they are not the kind of people who care for something as simple as consent.

[ which already sets her mind against them. it's not the place itself that worries her so much as the people who control it. This isn't the Dead Star, the very nature of the place isn't evil. ]

So we are allowed to simply go by our day as if we have lived here all our lives?

Given all they put us through, I doubt that seriously.

[Newt is one that may have volunteered, if only for a time, but he is without much and left others behind so certainly not the moment they took him from.]

Until one an event happens. Then, for the most part, you're seeking to not allow the mansion get the better of you. Some aren't so bad, but they are few and far between. I mostly use my days for research, of those here and the land itself. Though the latter doesn't give me much.

The generals are that is runs on some sort of magic. Those behind it take the form of characters from a book called Alice in Wonderland, but I'm not sure that is who they actually are. The closets provide things people want. The forests seem to go on forever, but the further you go the dizzier you get. I couldn't make it too far before I became concerned I would pass out and I turned back.

I have a notebook I've started though, with details about the entities we've seen and others have met. About the mirrors and as much as we've learned about what is on the other side. I'm more than willing to let others see it, certainly.

There must be something in those forests if they try so hard to keep us out. That's usually the rule, the more it's guarded, the more chances are something's there.

[ she smiles, the diplomat returning to take the place of the leader of the rebellion. ]

Most of the places people mentioned are unfamiliar. Never heard of them before. Still, where are you from, Newt?

I've run into the same myself, not to mention many exist in a year well after my own. I was most recently in New York, though I'm from England.
