[ on what must be one of the first days of relative peace, a feed opens to present a newcomer. Leia is dressed as she normally would, all in white, collar high. The clothes she came with have been tossed away but there is nothing she can do about the ugly bruise on her neck, circular, red. it would turn to purple in a few days and is a dead giveaway for a collar of metal that bit into her skin until very recently.

her palms tell a story too, skin peeling at places, red and irritated from when she pulled on metal. However, it'd be difficult to pass her for the slave girl whose part she'd been forced to play. There's an air of authority to her even now.

Oh, and there's the blaster she tucks just beneath her belt, a touch of black on an otherwise white palette. ]

Well, this is rich.

[ biting with just a hint of sass but then, she seems to realize her message is finally being sent. ]

I see no practical reason for so much technology when we all live in the same cell.

[ this is what she calls this, a cell. A prison is a prison, vast as it may be. ]

But if you hear my message, know I mean you no harm. I understand I've come in a time of great peril [ somehow, she senses it in the very air around the halls ]. My own world is in great peril as well, it is urgent that they'll receive any help available if they're to see our mission done.

[ a beat. ]

We share the same predicament, I ask that we share information as well. If there is anything worth knowing about this system, I'd hear it and if any assistance is needed, I will supply.

There's no way to get off-planet, so there's not a lot of intel about much of what's past the mansion. You just barely missed the most recent catastrophe, though.

It can be on a moon somewhere, however and if we can't leave - are there no starships at all beyond the Mansion?

Are there any injured? You say catastrophe, have they attacked without provocation? This residence houses only prisoners, doesn't it?

Supposedly, we were pulled through magic, which I don't like throwing around as a concept but I have no better word for it. But no, there's no ships. No communication outside. We're grounded.

[The last statement, though, is harder to explain.]

The way this place works is a little bit of a long story. Probably shouldn't have started right in the middle there, but we're not exactly safe all the time.

[ There's nothing in Leia that seems surprised or startled by his appearances. Some systems had odd folk, this is hardly anything new. At least he's easier to understand than a Wookie. ]

Transmission of information isn't as quick, though it is possible.

[ ah -- a newcomer. not much unlike herself, having been in that position a scant week before hand. peggy knows she can't offer much in the way of helpful intel, but she has leagues of sympathy just now. ]

Luckily, I take it the brunt of this most recent 'peril' has passed. It ought to be quite safe to walk the halls again.

[ it's the question to end all questions, really. Leia is accustomed to knowing who her foes are. The Empire had brought nothing but war and terror to the galaxy and to Leia it was clear as day that it had to fall and disappear within the ashes for all these wrongdoings.

But there were no generals here and no stormtroppers to assemble forces against. ]

It must be the first time I've ever heard of a kidnapping without any terms.

[ it doesn't matter that there is no Alderaan, not anymore. It lives in Leia and in her remaining subjects. They're not many but they are carrying a legacy of a lost world in their blood. ]

I'd imagine anyone's first instinct is to get away. There is much to be done where I come from.

I understand it is as essential for all the others to go back to where they came from. I'm sorry you've been held here for so long. Do you know who is it that's holding us here and how?

Surprisingly, many of those kidnapped here don't seem to move harm. I've been rather shocked by that.

Now those on the other sides of the mirror, as well as the events, those are another story. They most certainly seem to be intending all of us harm.

I wish there was a way to help your world from here. Sadly, no one has seemed to have found a way outside of her. Sorry to tell you that.

I imagine most of us who were kidnapped only want to go home. The trouble lies, so I've been told, in the fact that there isn't any kidnapper to rally against. If there is, they're hiding away behind these mirrors like the cowards they are.

You're kind to worry for a world that isn't your own. I believe this must be the very thing that guides us here. We all share the same fate, worlds and galaxies apart as we are. If we're going to get out, we'll have to remember that.
