I'm getting real tired of getting dumped in strange places against my will. I don't like it.

[There's a low, dangerous growl of disapproval and the expression on Mick's face is not a pretty one. It's somewhat reminiscent of an angry bull. This was the second time in God knows how many days that Mick Rory has found himself stranded somewhere new and different, unsure what the hell is happening. It's not a good feeling. It didn't inspire much good will.

Though this is a definite improvement over the last place. For one, there's food. For another, he gets a free smart phone to yell at people over and voice his anger. Not bad. Though he did kind of think they went a little overboard with the white. What was with all the decorations anyway? This better not be like some low rent Christmas Town cause honestly, that sounded a lot like hell.]

You got five minutes to convince me not to torch this place to the ground cause I ain't in the mood to play nice right now. Somebody start talking. [The words come out as an angry snarl, teeth barred. He's not a happy bunny.]

Because you'll just kill a bunch of people and the Mansion will be back to normal tomorrow.

[The brunette on screen doesn't bother with actual context for any of this. At least she's not one of those people with a lecture at the ready and from the edge of attitude coming from her? She's not exactly a fan of Wonderland herself.]

Plus, people don't stay dead. That might be one of the few things this place has going for it, but then you've got a whole bunch of no longer dead people, all looking to kill you.

[He grunts in amusement. Well, less so the killing people but he's feeling particularly confrontational today so he's not exactly doing much to avoid clarifying the finer details. It wouldn't be the first time he burnt a place and watched people die, just not something he thought he'd ever do again.]

I'm guessing you've never been burned alive. [Her tone and the raised eyebrows suggesting that... maybe she has.]

I got close more than once. Occupational hazard. [He would show off his burns but he doesn't feel like taking off his coat.] I like the feeling.

Yeah. [Stated simply. Notably however, she doesn't have any scars like Mick does and wearing a Tank Top? You'd think somebody who claimed to have been burned alive might have had at least something to show for it.]

Occupational hazard? [Her eyes narrow and while she knows it's probably unlikely, she has to wonder...] What are you like, a fire user?

[I mean, he is? Just not in the way Rose is thinking.]

I like to burn things. It's what I do.

[Literally. He likes to burn things, that is pretty much his hobbies and interests summed up. God, he misses his heat gun already.]

Fire user is a fancy way of putting it. Back where I'm from, they call me Heatwave.

You'd get along well with a friend of mine.

[It was hard for Rose to know which was more disturbing: That there was somebody else like Christian or that she'd just called Christian a friend.]

Heatwave. [More suspicious than she is judgmental, which can be explained by her following question.] You're not friends with an asshole who calls himself Ironman are you?

I don't get along with anyone these days.

[He did but since losing his best friend, less so. He was more stubborn, unrelenting to others.]

No but he sounds like a right dork. [Seriously? Iron Man? What was he? A robot?] Nah, some dumb nerd kid gave me a codename. It's kinda cute. I kept it.

[She takes that back. He wouldn't get along with Christian - he practically is Christian.]

He's an arrogant, know-it-all ass. [Rose didn't get along with people at the best of time but Tony Stark? The only reason she hadn't punched him in the face is because she usually bickered with him over the Network.]

Cute? [The hint of a grin playing across her lips.] You don't like, expect everyone to call you that though, do you?

He sounds annoying. I don't like annoying people.

[Mick growls lightly, not feeling the need to elaborate on that.]

I prefer Mick but I give the option. It's -- entertaining. To say the least.

Well, we have that in common. [He's talking to somebody who's known for hitting first and asking questions later. He really doesn't need to elaborate.]

Mick it is, then. [There are that many people with alter egos here she can't remember half of them anyway.

Suddenly remembering she should probably tell him her own, she lazily gestures to herself.] Rose.

[Mick grunts in acknowledgement. It's a sort of Mick version of 'hey Rose, nice to meet you', he's not much of the verbal sort a lot of the time.]

You know a way out of this shit hole or am I just stuck?

[She's well versed in non-verbal at least.]

You think I'd still be here if I did? [Eyebrows raised.]

Dunno. People do dumb shit all the time. Even smart people.

Yeaaah, I'm not one of the crazy ones.

[That's. Debatable, but for entirely different reasons.]

This place looks harmless enough but it's basically a prison.

People who drag you somewhere like that, they do it for a reason. Of course they ain't gonna let you just leave.

I guess I better get settled in.

[The grin that plays across her lips, lacks all humor but at least suggests she appreciates Mick's way of thinking.]

And they aren't big on explaining the reasoning.

[With a nod, Rose is already getting up, as if she's about to end her feed.]

Probably a good idea. [Given. This place.] Good luck and... if you're going to burn anything down? Do me a favor and start above the fifth floor. [So she can escape pretty much.]

No problem, I'll see what I can do.

[If he really wanted to go for it, he'd probably start on the fifth floor. There was a bar, after all, that'd cause some carnage. Luckily he seems to have cooled down a lot. Definitely a bonus.]
