[For someone from a place of slightly more primitive technology, Lup seems to get a handle on her handheld device quickly enough, the elf framing her face perfectly in the screen, mouth curled to the side in a sharp grin. She looks totally in her element, confident and poised despite knowing nothing of this place or of the people who run it.

The one thing she does know is she needs out of here. Pronto.

For those unfortunate residents of Wonderland who know Taako, they may mistake this woman for him considering they share the same identical faces and long, elven ears. Her voice is a little different, naturally, but hey, elves get sick sometimes too, right?]

Now, I don't want to crush your game, but I'm gonna need the name of the nerd who runs this place, because I'm a busy woman who has exactly zero time for this bullshit. I can't fault you for wanting some of the good, ol' Lup brand to sparkle up this place, but it just isn't going to work.

And hey-- [She holds up free hand in front of the camera, which certainly looks to be on fire.] If you don't want to come out and face me yourself, I'll just start burning it down. I have a feeling that garden out front is gonna make for a pretty choice blaze. And I've got spell slots to burn, baby.

[Well, hell. That's a very useful thing to own. Lup will definitely give a more thorough viewing later. Right now, though, she has questions.]

Bingo. [A journalist huh? The thought makes something tighten in her chest, but there's more pressing matters in front of the elf.] Everyone else in this place has already leapt to give me the whole 'No Fire' spiel, so I'd say we're golden. [But really, if y'all hate threats of arson so much, maybe put a sign on the front door. Give a girl a little warning, yeesh.]

Just gonna clarify with you first real quick. [she pauses briefly, for effect] So there's no way out of this place?

[Good. That settled, Georgia nods.]

Yes and no. People leave all the time, but no one's found a way to do it on purpose.

[That's the answer she both expected and hoped wasn't coming. The elf's posture droops a little, the corner of her mouth tugging downwards into a slight frown.]

So, we really are just at the mercy of the fucks who run this place on whether we leave or not. Gotcha. [Shitty, but Lup will keep working to test that theory. She halfway wonders if the others just haven't tried hard enough to get out.]

What's the deal with the people here? Were they all brought in the same way I was?

Depends which people you mean. Most of the ones you'll talk to are brought in the same way. But there are the... more permanent residents, and their origin is a little less clear. Then there are the Mirrors.

The Mirrors, [Lup repeats with the same tone, because that seems like it was spoken with absolute emphasis. Not just normal mirrors, huh?]

What about them? That's where the that queen lives, right?

Sort of. The word "mirror" can refer to a lot of different things here. The actual glass in the wall, of course. Then there's the Mirror Side which is where the Queen lives, as well as the doppelgangers of ourselves that we also call Mirrors. It gets complicated.

[Lup follows all of this along fairly well. Duh, she knows what glass mirrors are, she isn't an idiot. Okay, there's a Mirror World or whatever where the bitch queen resides. So far, so good. But there's a definite startled look that overtakes her sharp features when she hears about the doppelgangers on the other side, enough so that she throws up her free hand in sort of a 'one second please, hold up' gesture.]

Go back a bit, sis. What the fuck do you mean doppelgangers of ourselves? That isn't... Like, what? Bizarro!Lup is gonna pop out at me or something while I'm fixing my hair?

No, Bizarro!Lup will watch you fixing your hair and report anything she finds important to the Queen of Hearts. [She grimaces slightly under her sunglasses. She knows how much it sucks.] They can cross over, but they won't without permission from the Queen. She made them, and she can unmake them if they cross her.

Congrats. That's the most fucked up thing I've heard about this place yet. Good info to have, but, y'know.

I wish I could say it's the most fucked up thing I know, but I've never been much of a liar. Fucked up doesn't begin to cover this place.

Fair enough. [And it's shitty information, but it's good for Lup to know. Better to have all of the facts, no matter how awful they are.]

In my opinion? I would start reading.

Library's a solid place to start. Evelyn, the librarian, has been here longer than pretty much anyone, and she's been amassing information that entire time. Dipper and Mabel Pines have a collection of Wonderland-specific information as well, in Angel Investigations.

My own notes only go back about a year, but they are dutifully recorded in my Zine, the Shattered Mirror, along with references to anything earlier than that that seemed relevant. I'm happy to provide either digital or physical copies if you're interested.

Consider a gal very interested. [First order of business is to get her reading on and learn every single bit of info she can on this place. Then she's busting out of here. No matter what anyone says, there has to be away. Lup will find it.]
