[Ishimaru hasn't really been at a hundred percent since Mondo's arrival in Wonderland and the difficult news he brought with him. A lot has been weighing on his mind, but over time he's managed to gain some comfort and regain some of his energy by throwing himself into his studies and focusing on them. And during the last event, he mostly spent time coordinating people in the safe zone while in his pajamas. Now that things have quieted down again, it seems like the time to address everyone.

And so, on this day he addresses everyone with an energetic message! He goes on cheerily, although every now and then his cheer fades a bit.]

Greetings, people of Wonderland! In case you have not met me, my name is Kiyotaka Ishimaru! I believe in bold simplicity, and through hard work I have earned the title of Super High School Level Public Morals Committee Member! Even though I've been trapped here in Wonderland, I am still doing everything that I can to continue my educational crusade in this world, and I highly encourage anyone to join me! If you find me at the library or the youth center, you are more than welcome to study with me. Let's all do our best!

In fact, I would also like to encourage everyone to help me with my studies right now! Please help me in one of two ways. Either quiz me on any subject, or teach me about something from your world. You could even do both if you so please! I would highly appreciate any help. ...Y-you can also talk about the value of second chances here in Wonderland! [Just in case Mondo is listening. He then closes with a hurried bow.]

[ That's right. No matter how strong the front he puts up, he can't deny that he does need help, apart from this one he's getting from Ishimaru. And that's not something he can burden just anyone with, he needs to find someone who's actually well-informed about this.

The burning heat barely crosses his consciousness right now, even while sweat drips out of his pores and through his skin. His mind focuses on the discussion, on Ishimaru, and on a solution. ]

Yeah... Maybe I should try looking for someone in the network, too.

[ It helped the other time when he tried looking for the owner of his 'gift'. Though this time 'round, it's much riskier with how personal this problem is, and how public the network is in contrast. He needs to find a way to get help without revealing too much. ]

[ In relief of getting a portion of talk done smoothly, he falls silent for a moment. ]

Thanks for hearin' me out. Now's your turn to talk.

[Ishimaru continues to focus and endure the heat. Despite everything, Mondo is still an inspiration in that field. They'll make it through the heat of this sauna... and they'll make it through these problems, too!]

That is a smart idea, brother! [He says it without thinking.] The network is a valuable tool for getting in touch with different people. I am sure that you will find someone! And I could make an announcement too! [He's too determined to do everything that he can to help Mondo.

But he pauses as the silence falls. Now that the spotlight is on him... he's not exactly sure what to say.]

Ah! So, now it is my turn? I see! Well, ah, what topic should I discuss first? [He did not prepare for this! He was ready to just talk about Mondo all day long.]

[ 'Brother'.

Although he couldn't say it aloud, he did feel a pang of loneliness when Ishimaru started referring to him by his name ー which was dumb, since that was exactly what he asked for. But now that Ishimaru's back to calling him 'brother', whether it was a conscious act or not... Mondo can't help feeling glad. He doesn't want to renounce their brotherhood in the first place, despite everything. He just... doesn't feel worthy. Still, this is nice, and he doesn't want to deny it anymore. ]

Yeah. ...Thanks, Kyoud-- [Whoa, whoa there. That was too high a leap for him. For now anyway. ] Ahem. Ishimaru.

[ Feeling embarrassed, he looks away scratching his head. The sauna's a great place, no one can tell whether he's red from the heat or from something else.

Uh, quick. A topic. ]

W-Weren't you gonna talk about some, uh, second chances or somethin'?

[Ishimaru had slipped into saying the word without even noticing. And yet, even so, he manages to catch Mondo almost saying the word. His eyes widen alertly as he does, a hope rising in him... only to be dashed when he cuts off the word and refers to him by name instead. It hurts, but... that just means that they have to work harder. They still have a ways to go.

Ishimaru keeps his fists balled up, and he nods with a breath.]

Ah... Yes! That is correct! How could I overlook such an important subject? After all... this Wonderland is a place of second chances! Anyone can come here from any time or place, and they can live here for any period of time. While we are here... we are safe from all of the dangers of home. We can learn of our mistakes and fix them. We can seize this chance to do better and become better! That is the value of a second chance!

[ Baby steps, they're getting there.

Mondo watches the other teen brightening up, speaking to him like some politician doing a passionate speech on a rally. He usually hates those kind, but this particular one... he can get used to it. If anything, only fondness reflects on his eyes. ]

Learning from our mistakes... huh. [ Well, now that he's alive, there's nothing else he can do but that, now, isn't there? ] Guess you're right. I dunno where to start from, but... will you help me?

[Tears shine in his eyes as he looks right at Mondo with a bright smile, and he nods.]

Of course! I... I would be honored to help you, in any way! No matter what, I will help you to get back up whenever you fall.

[Ishimaru pauses uncertainly, as if double-checking his thought process. Then, he voices his concern aloud:]

That... is the duty of a brother, correct?

[ Ghrk!

Ishimaru's straightforward words always know how to clutch Mondo's heart tightly, and they're doing exactly that this moment. They fill it with warmth and-- ow, ow, fuck, not too tight, not too tight!! Goddammit, stop looking at him with those glistening eyes, what even. ]

...Tch, I can't win with you...

[ Here, get a rough hair ruffle! Or rather... hair messing. ]

That's right. 100 points for you, honour student.

Ack!

[He winces and giggles as his hair is ruffled.]

I... I earned a perfect grade? Oowada-kun, I am honored beyond words! And does... does that mean...

[Now Ishimaru looks at him again, with the light of hope in his eyes.]

...that even brotherhood can have a second chance?

[ Holy crap, and here he thought those sparkly eyes can't get any sparklier. Mondo takes his hand off the head and looks away. ]

Aah? Well... that's, uh, y'know.

[ Crossing his arms in front of his chest, he mumbles: ]

That decision's on you, ain't it.

It... is it?

[He looks on blankly, as if he did not expect that.]

But this is important. This is a big decision to make all by myself! You are the one who said that we should not be brothers anymore.

I want to know how you feel!! That will shape my decision!

[How does he feel... about second chances?]

That's... well.

[ He did say that, that's a fact. ]

I just... didn't want ya to be brothers with some murderer, y'know. You wanna be some politician or somethin' like that one day, right? Best not to associate with someone like me.

Hrngh! [He cringes at the word 'murderer'. But then he goes on with a building intensity.]

It is true that my aspirations could bring me to politics! But I want to be an honest politican! One who does not hide those who I care for or sweep them under the rug! I would never deny to the world that I consider someone to be my brother! And if that interferes with my future... then that is just one more obstacle to be cleared through hard work!

[ Tenacious is the one word that Mondo has always associated with Ishimaru, for good or for worse. But as of late, 'manly' is, too. He's definitely showing the courage and strength that even fellow men can commend. His genuine, strong sense of brotherhood... it's something Mondo wants to treasure. ]

Heh. Sounds promising.

[ He laughs slightly, but by no means making fun of the other teen. It's a pleasant surprise, to see this strong conviction Ishimaru's displaying. ]

It's... not like I don't wanna be your brother.

[ And he's painfully aware how much of a contradiction that is. He roughly scratches the back of his head, slowly turning to face the guy beside him. ]

But you sure you're okay with someone like me?

[ The future Ishimaru will be in, Mondo won't be there... but it concerns him still. ]

All I'll give you are prolly bad influences, y'know? Think 'bout it.

[ After all, the future is something they path from now on. ]

Someone like you? [He glances towards Mondo. His tears are mostly tried, and his expression grows softer. Still, he gives an intense point with his finger just inches from Mondo's nose.]

If that was a problem for me, do you think that I would have agreed to brotherhood the first time around? I will resist any bad influences as a test of my fortitude! In fact...

[A smirk starts to come to his face.]

I would dare to say that I would provide you with good influences instead!

[ Staring at the finger pointed at him, then to Ishimaru, Mondo can't find anything to say. This guy... he really always states everything like they're facts, even when they're ridiculous stuff like that As-whatever thing back then. How can he be so confident? It's hard to believe just how much conviction Ishimaru seems to have in his words, especially since it's something about the future that no one can be sure of. Mondo can't even trust himself, and yet look at this fool, believing in himself so surely, without a tinge of doubt. ]

Tch.

[ But unlike what happened back then, this is something that Mondo wants to believe in, too. After all, Ishimaru is his hope. If he doesn't believe in this one, what's he going to believe? The grimace in his face doesn't last long as it breaks into a chuckle, that's followed with a (possibly) tad too powerful of a back smack. ]

Let's see you do it, then! What're ya plannin' to influence me in?

[ Look at this smirk, filled with challenge and mischief. Fight him, moral compass. ]

[Sweet, sweet agreement! How splendid! How bittersweet! Things are coming together much better... much more hopeful than he had imagined!

Ishimaru withdraws his inquisitive finger and folds his arms confidently.]

Ha! This is one challenge that you will come to regret, Kyoudai! I have quit the agenda in mind. It should be no hard task to guess at what I have mind. Your public morals are in a sorry state, and you could stand to be so much more diligent in your studies! With my help, you may just become the most polite and educated of the bikers out there!

And that-

[Ishimaru quickly stands up with his fist balled for dramatic effect! ...But standing up so suddenly causes him to quickly become dizzy.]

...is... a promise...!

[ As expected from Ishimaru! He sure does know Mondo well! Because yes, he's totally already beginning to regret this! C'mon, look at this facepalm, it must tell you something, right?

Listen, he's all for learning. But studies?! ]

Tch. Why should I-- ...! Oi!! Sit down!!

[ Mondo swings his arm to gesture to Ishimaru to put his ass back down. What is this deja-vu. ]

For an honour student, you seriously don't learn... [ He sighs. ] Don't force yourself if you're done.

[Regrets are am essential part og the Ishimaru package.

Ishimaru woozily goes along with Mondo's movements and takes a deep breath as he is seated.]

S-sorry. But... Do not think that I will give up easily! I- I am just getting started! [Even if he is becoming a mass of sweat.] As I was trying to say, this... this is a promise... between brothers!!

Oi oi... What're ya gonna do if ya pass out? 'm not gonna carry you outta here, y'know?

[ He definitely will, even though that's what he said... ]

Khe. I don't remember promisin' anythin' 'bout studies.

I- I will not pass out! The strength of my determination will... will keep me going to the very end! [He raises an arm shakily and then blinks.]

...I suppose that you have not... but you have, ah... promised to be open to the idea of being influenced by me! [That's not exactly much of a promise!]

[ Mondo sighs, keeping his eye on the other teen. Just look at that, he can't even raise his arm properly. ]

Stop moving, dumbass.

[ There's a reason people sit still in sauna, goddammit... ]

...Sure. [ Yeah, that's quite a stretch, but Mondo'll let that slide. ] But that don't mean Imma do whatever you ask. [ Just the thought of textbooks make him feel like sleeping already... ] Though I guess that depends on how interesting you can make it. [ If Ishimaru looks at him now, the challenge smirk is there again. ] Don't you guys usually do that? Idea pitching or some shit.

I- I am not moving! Am I? [He blinks uncertainly as he lowers his arm and tries to relax.]

Are you talking about members of public morals committee? Either way, I will be sure to present the best pitch that I can... I won't give up until I convince you!

[ Squint. Mondo sighs, leaning back on his seat. This unnecessary obstinacy... look at just how red this guy's getting. And he still can say he's fine? They probably oughta get out of here soon. ]

Yeah, yeah. Good luck with that, Chairman. ...More importantly, how long more are you gonna force yourself?

[ He's not here to boil his brother alive. ]

[Ishimaru looks at him with a weak smile, being both very red and very sweaty at the same time.]

As long as... I must... to help... my brother!

Haah?

[ He raises an eyebrow. ]

Even if you won this battle, there's no guarantee I'd do whatever you ask, y'know? We're not even bettin' on anythin'...
