Entry 2: Video

[Magnus turns on his device and before he shows himself he pans over a table (one that looks very well carved though not entirely finished yet) that is covered by many carved wooden ducks. As it pans across the room to show off the ducks, all of his carpentry tools can be seen scattered about and the room is absolutely covered in sawdust.]

[He turns the camera back toward himself, looking like he hasn't gotten a lot of sleep over the last few days since the event has ended. Though you know what he's gotten a lot of?]

[Duck carving.]

So I may have started stress carving once I got access back to my tools. Anyone want a wood duck? They're kinda my specialty.

Also, if anyone else noticed a broken table in the library from this weekend, I'm working on replacing it with a new one since I may have broken one of them during the event. Though the one I'm making is gonna be a lot sturdier than the last, so really I did everyone a favor by breaking that table.

[Because that's the important part to focus on. Not the fact that he broke it in the first place and certainly not why he broke the table...]

Anyway, I'm on the third floor if anyone is interested.

[Toriel certainly understands the feeling of diving headfirst into a craft, to deal with stress. The event was pretty rough, after all, and she's starting to spend some more time knitting. ...Actually...]

Maybe we could make it a trade, even? I enjoy knitting, so I could give you a scarf, or a knit hat if you like. I do not have anything else to do with them, after all.

Why ducks specifically?

They're not my favorite animal or anything, but I like them enough. And they're pretty easy to carve. It's kinda become the default thing I make when I start to carve without anything in mind.

Yeah, I can do that. Just gotta figure out what a ducktective would look like...I can just imagine what Ango would look like as a duck and go from there.

Yup! I can carve a duck with my eyes closed...which I may have actually done on a few of these when I was getting a little tired.

Thanks! I've had a lot of practice making them over the years. I'm pretty sure my first few attempts at carving came out really bad.

[Though he can't seem to remember the first time he made a duck...though it was a long time ago and he might just not remember.]

Well yeah, I was a carpenter before I was an adventurer. I can make tables, chairs, cabinets, boxes, all sorts of different things. If there's some type of furniture, I've probably made it before.

Thanks, it's taken years of practice but I can whip a duck out without even trying. Hence my current duck overpopulation problem. Though I can certainly make other stuff, ducks just come naturally.
